First sprout! But it looks weird. A few questions.

This was not there when I left around 9 this am, but it was there when I got back at 6. 4 days in the soil after 24 hours in a shotglass of water. Just chilling in a solo cup under 2 23w cfls in one of those clamp reflectors (I might take one out. Slow growth would be better than fast growth atm). It looks a bit weird though. 1 round leaf (cotyledon I think its called?) and 2 normal leaves. Is this common? It's still super tiny. I'm not particularly attached to the plant, as it was a freebie that I may or may not have time to grow out. It's a Kerala x Skunk #1 reg from herbies.

Also, the stem looks fuzzy. Is that normal? I don't feel like any pics I've seen have that, but I also can't find any now that are close up enough to tell.

it is missing a cotyledon, weird. other than that it looks fine to me.

EDIT : those cotyledon leaves are what supplies the plant with food for the first few weeks, i dont know if the one missing is going to change that, maybe someone else will hop in and comment on that?

Fuzzy stem is normal, it wouldn't be mold or anything at this point and it looks just fine to me.

That cotyledon could have been stuck to the hull still, it happens, could just be a weird mutations for whatever reason, usually works its self out. Plant may struggle a little more for life with slower growth for the first few weeks because as UF already stated, those cotyledons provide the first weeks of food supply.

Just don't drown it. Tiny root system needs tiny water.

She looks good to me. I had a water leaf break off o one of mine. Looks exactly like you actually. Should be fine though. Just keep the lights on her for 24/0. You have the single blades coming in so she is still growing. Good luck!

Cool. I've been keeping light on nonstop, and only watering every 48 hours or so (once the soil is dry about half my finger deep). Thanks guys!

It's doubled in size since 12 hours ago, so I think it's doing just fine
