I have always been a hydro person but going to give a few a chance in soil. Seeds are germinating. With that said I got a ph meter and fox farm nutes to use once they get going.

Any tips on Soil, bat guana or anything else anyone can suggest would be great. They will be vegged with a t5 and then once stable I will put up the 1k.

Please tips please thanks

You can't go wrong with the industry standard - MiracleGro Potting Mix. MiracleGro sells a number of different soils but the PM is the way to go.
MG PM has nutes for 3 months so those afraid of adding nutes to water can relax. Couple of observations re: MG PM.

If you are going to be putting seedlings into dirt tomorrow, be sure your soil is inside at least 24 hours before you need it. It's a pain to get
everything set up and discover that the bags of dirt out in the shed are too wet or too frozen. The bags should be inside 24 hours at least.

The only time I've cursed MG PM is when first putting seedlings into dirt. The PM has ground up wood chunks in it as part of its organic nutes.
Twice I have had seedlings perish because when I explored I discovered that the seedlings fight for the surface was hindered by a chunk of wood.
So now I kinda hand-sift through the soil pulling out any chunk more than an inch long.

Watering seedlings that are toothpick size and 7 inches long is a chore as it is too easy to harm the toothpick when watering. So I use a syringe
with the needle removed to dribble a few cc of water on the tall, skinny ones.

Good luck, BigSteve.

If you're going organic you have to stay organic, no chemical ferts. I use a tea and am running some budswell in flower for the first time. So far so good with it, looks like I'm going to have my best yield yet so far. Unlucky your balls are showing with that obnoxious font size.

This was his instruction as well. No nutes until flower time.

I only veg for 4 weeks, and use roots organic, I do use a tea in veg, which include a moderate amount of N guano, earth worm castings, molasses, and mycorrhizae. I have a veggie garden as well and mix 1 gallon to 5 RO water that I let sit 24 hours before mixing the tea in. I have zero 1st hand experience with hydro so I can't really point out the finer differences like some more experienced members with both could. Hope this helps at all.
