First set up, Think it'll work for the short term?

This is my first set up in a while so I'mm just looking for some input as to whether this will work for at least the short term till i can move them to someplace with more room. They are auto flower AK (4) and Kush (1). i have 6 CFL's and 2 fish tank florescent lights (Not in picture) i had them in a window but they aren't getting enough direct light right now so I don't want them to grow all long and stretchy so I put this set up together in about an hour or two. Any tips/advice. I had a set up similar to this a few years ago in a closet but had to abandon it half way through flower cycle. These plants are said to only grow about 3 feet tall for what it counts. The lights are about 6 inches from the top of the pots for when the rest of my babys pop through the soil (2 up so far).

What watt CFLs? What medium? What nutrients?

CFL's are 23 Watts a piece i got 6 of em the other 2 lights I'm not sure on their watts but its not much as they appear to barely be doing anything to really brighten the area. I'm assuming by medium you mean what I'm using to grow them in, For that I'm just using some organic soil nothing special about it at all. As far as nutes are concerned I'm not using anything until around week 3 (when they start to flower), ill be using a diluted miracle grow bloom booster 15-30-15.

Well for experimenting purposes this could work to get your feet wet. Don't expect a QP. This is how we all start off, have fun with it and most importantly... Learn!

Awesome thanks for the input, I appreciate it. What could I do to get a better yield if I wanted to? Other then not using auto flowers that is.

Pick up a 600watt hps...don't be discouraged by autoflowers... Many people do not believe in them..people that are set in their ways. You can get a great yield considering the size of the overall plant .

HPS lighting? whats that? Where can i get them? how much do they cost to run? am i gonna want to have some lights mounted on the walls shineing out towards the plants on the lower levels as well? or hanging lights from the top of the cabinate hanging down lower on the plant? i have heard that more light = higher yields

High pressure sodium. Its a type of bulb...I suggest you read the pinned posts in the newbie section and learn as much as you can. Its a lot to learn but its worth it friend. More light means nothing without all other parameters being in tune. I wish you luck friend, this is exciting times learning for you. Embrace it and enjoy yourself.

How should I arrange my lights once they are that tall? I have 4 more CFL's ready to put in when/if I need to how many more will I need?
Sorry, but I can't help you there. I go to 600w MH once they're past the seedling stage. There is a whole forum here on growing with CFLs. Go there and you'll find a lot more usefull information. Here's a link to it: https://www.rollitup.org/f/cfl-fluorescent-lighting.75/
