First set of leaves turning yellow

Hello I’m new to the site and growing wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. First month of growing in my eyes went very well. Just yesterday one of my leaves started turning yellow. Heat sits at 71, humidity at 65% usually, soils seems dry up every 3 days and this is when I water. Is it normal? Or overwatering? Prof help?

That's a cotyledon leaf set-they will normally drop-off after the plant develops true leaf sets.
Overall, looks reasonably healthy. Perhaps stretching a bit, but should be ok.

Sweet I appreciate the relief. What did you mean by stretching? Leaves going outwards ? Any suggestions going forward on new plants.

What @GBAUTO means by stretching is they are growing taller to get closer to the light source. You can lower your light fixture to keep the plant's nodes closer together

Ahhh I see, when I was looking up heights for the lights of course it gave me specific inches away it should be. I can put it at one height the entire grow? Thanks for all the help

Light distance depends on the light and the stage of the plant. What kind of light are you using?

What light are you using?? Id bring it much closer.

I usually set it about 2 - 2.5 feet above throughout the veg phase then raise it to about 1.5 feet above the canopy for flowering

Plant is one month the 16th, and it’s a 600w LED. Has the veg and bloom options. Recommendations on how far it should be from the top?

@ThewBerg awesome I will reset and see how it goes. You bring it even closer when flowering or above my tent is what you mean?

It's definetely not a 600w light. Can you share the name of the model please? Also, have BOTH veg and bloom switches on whether it'a vegging or flowering.

It should be closer to the tops of the plants when flowering but will need to be raised in your tent because of the plants vertical growth

Your plant is perfect looking...could use some more light like others have said....heres a couple plants around the same age with ample lighting...plus I've topped mine a couple times to make them bushier...
Mine are around 6weeks...
More light will keep the plant from stretching and the nodes will be tighter which equals more budsites down the road

Was a cheaper light I found online. Was by bloomspectrum. Very nice looking @MY OWN DANK , this is my first time around with my first set up and that was my next question. Topping at the fourth node really helps that yield? Or is stem training a better or just another option?

It looks like that light has a true output of about 250w. Flip the switch to veg and bloom at the first site of preflowers.

Depends on what you are growing and how much you want to stress them out. Generally I stick to low stress training with my autos as they don't have as much time to bounce back from high stress training methods such as topping.

Used a “ Blurple” for my first grow did ok, maybe about 3-4 ounces from 3 plants. Extended growing time, whatever the manufacturer says about grow time, forget it, add about 25% onto everything. But still produced results!!
mine went about 14weeks and I had to force them to flower after about 8 weeks of veg.....

Still thinking I should switch the light even though it’s a lower output? From veg to bloom now since I have pistols and pre-flowers?

And sounds good I have a 1 week old that looks like I can start tying it down in an exact setup in a few days maybe. Been a ton of info before and during this first time lol. Your plants are looking healthy!

If this is your first grow it will teach you loads, stick with your gear and next one, you can Rajiv your whole setup. Get a diary and write everything down, what you gave the plants and when , invaluable info for next grow. Have a look on you tube to see the results some folk were getting with a first generation led light like yours.
I bought a Mars Hydro TS1000w and I am more than happy with it. My space is small 3x3 , and that’s the coverage exactly for that model.
second grow with the MH led was 77 days seed to flower, so my learning curve was steep,
Be patient grasshopper all will come in time! Lol
