First set of leaves dying on two plants

I'm fairly new to indoor. Every plant but the last run had problems with the 1st, sometimes second set before continuing on fine. I figured it was water then lately I wasn't sure, as instead of soil I used coco and pearlite. There were two "mystery" auto's in the same media. Both had the same everything. One was lighter and took longer to mature and the other dark. I figured the dark one was a more indica dominant hybrid but either way the lighter one could drink way more without clawing and never lost any leaves until mid flower. Strange. Still not sure what caused it to this day. My feeling is that the mycorrhizal must have helped on the last run and the dark green genetics could have been a bit week. I would say check for gnats flying around. The larvea nail the roots on young plants. Figured that out the hard way.
Best of luck

Thanks I’m just going to see how they get on over the next couple of days it’s only 2 out for 5 that have this problem all be treated the same I’ve checked for bugs and ain’t found anything I think it mite be watering to often in the first week and maybe some light burn possibly because I couldn’t find that sweet spot

Oh actually I put a second light in mid grow once and they got ever so cross with me. Yeah plenty of leaves died back. The temp wasn'teven past 27 so figured they were being over lit. Almost forgot about that

I’d wait and see. Looks like it’s over whatever happened to the lower leaves, new growth looks good.

Sorry, I didn't see that. I was just thinking that new growth is looking pretty good. Stems still look green. I'm not sure what caused those leaves to do that, but hopefully it doesn't continue. Good luck.
I’ve got a feeling it’s over watered in the first week or light burn before they turn died they was reaching for a few days so I’m not sure if it’s the light that’s caused it

It doesn't look like light damage. Maybe overwatered, but stems usually turn purple when overwatered, ime. Time will tell now. Just keep a good eye on her, and be easy on the watering. :bigjoint:

Any advice welcome new to growing and I think i possibly overwatered the first week only two of my plants have it problem both the same strain
These plants live no matter how hard we try to kill them. Too easy to overwater them, not that easy to under water them. (unless you take off for a weeks vacation ) :D
