First serious grow room,Feedback appreciated.

So i come to you all with my first serious approach coming at a grow. i have a list of items im procuring, i want to set the grow room up in a medium sized vacant room, put shutters on the window. start ot with high watt cfl for my seedlings for about 2 weeks or whenever. starting out with fox farm ocean forest,a few solo cups, (yellow) ive got ph solutio nto control the water.then move them into black pots, about 3 gallons big. i was wondering when to nute them, and how often. also 1000W vs 600w, i will be growing 5 females (hopefully)

also maybe ideas on cloning

It sounds like this is your first grow. If this is, and you want to use newts, I highly recommend growing one of the plants with no newts to be able to see how your girls are progressing compared to just water. You should do a few cycles as basic as possible, and as you learn more, advance your grow style. Mylar is a great reflective material and would be good for your room. As for when to use the newts, follow the directions on the bottle. Less is more for newer plants.

I also decided to go with daylight bulbs, 300 or 400w for seedling and 1st week of veg and all of seeding

i all ways go with flat white. it diffuses the light better. i like the bear bulb vert 600 and put the 5 or 6 girls around it. i would get the 6in fan as well.

ok i see what youre talking about, and that wont cause any stretching issues as long as i hang them so many inches above the plants after i take away the cfls? it looks like a decent idea from whats on google, i cant bielieve the way the light is distributed could make so much more of a difference, pictures of your own would also help if you dont mind. again thanks guys. i know it probably sounds stupid with all the experience up your sleeve.

Be careful about which carbon filter you purchase. I looked into that filter and did not see any details on the carbon weight. Depending upon how many plants you are growing your filter capacity may not be enough to effectively remove all of the odors. Carbon Weight is a big factor in your filters capacity. Low weight, low capacity

Room size is another factor to be aware of. That filter is on the smaller side, and may not be efficient at removing the odors from your room.

If you give me an idea on your room size I can give you an idea on a rough carbon weight and a fan speed that would be good.

Your going to need to find somewhere to ventilate all that hot air, either out the window or out through the ceiling. The 600watt is fine for 5 plants.

I would encourage you to measure the dimensions. This will also help you figure out how you can vent your hot air. By knowing how big the room is you can figure out how quickly you want to change the air in the room. The rate is normally 3 times every 5 mins, can be different from room to room and even grower to grower.

Paint walls white. rip up carpet. 5k btu window ac. Build window box draw air from out side vent into attic. Put 4 girls in 10 gal pots scrog 5x5 under a 1k hps. Use maxsea for nutes. Your welcome
