Alright,
Here's what I got in my cart...all fem
2x Barney's Farm Critical Kush
2x Barney's Farm L.S.D
2x Barney's Farm Vanilla Kush
2x Green House Great White Shark
2x Green House Super Silver Haze
2x Green House Exodus Cheese
2x Reserva Privada Sour Diesel (looking to change that one for something else...thinking White Widow or a Skunk?)

I'm almost ready to check out, but I need some advice. Since I'm a beginner, I'd like to start with something that is easy to grow and has high yields.
Also the more potent the better, but it's secondary.
These seeds might be used throughout the year so I just wanna make sure they'll still be good by then.

I'm looking mostly for Kush and indicas but I've added a couple Sativas for variety.
It's mostly to treat Pain, Juvenile Arthritis, Nausea, Hidradenitis Suppurativa (extremely painful skin condition), Insomnia, Neck & back tensions

All this will be grown with a 400w HPS, 2"x4"x5" tent and 6" Extractor and carbon filter. Hoping to do 3 grows per year and pull around 728g so I can be self-sufficient. 2-4 plants
Also need good, efficient, not too expensive Nutrients for my girls to be ;)
Is there any other strains you'd suggest to me? There are so many strains out there that I'm really lost.

Thanks a whole bunch!
I'm getting excited even though it's in 1-2 weeks time.

i went with samsara sweet black angel and dinafem critical plus fems for my 1st time. the C+ avg'd the better yield, only getting beat by a super silver haze pheno among the sweet black angels (lush). i had 0 hermies among those two and they are quite cheap.

for your 1st time, i would recommend sticking with a single strain, plants are never as black and white as they may seem on the packet, some will go on alot longer and this will become an issue if you do not have the space to dry things separately... especially if your planning on seemless grows throughout the year.

i dont think i will ever buy barneys or greenhouse unless i got them from the dam, in a time machine, 25 years ago.

It's not my first time but seeing how the first time went, I went to do things right.
I only plan on doing 1-2 plants on my first proper time. And it would be only one strain at a time.
I have looked at Critical+ and I was considering it instead of GWS. I thought Critical Kush would be more fitting to my liking.
Black Domina is also on the radar even with the smaller yields...

Also, is it realistic for me to expect to yield ~728g per year?

I have everyone of those strains, currently growing Super Silver Haze and Great White Shark in my grow here

https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/556624-new-grow-4-girls-super.html

Choose White Widow, can't go wrong with any version of that strain.

All those are considered easy to moderate to grow, all those are high potency, and all you do to keep seeds viable is put some uncooked rice in the seed packets, those into a tuperware, that into a brown paper bag, that into your fridge's crisper. They will last for many years. I'm also currently growing a Waikiki Queen who's seed was over 3 years old and it's a monster.

Make sure to do two separate orders if order totals are over 150 and you are paying with a gift/debit/credit card, many times the card company will automatically flag and freeze a card when making large purchases overseas if you have never done so before.

Have fun and good luck!

I would say 450 is more realistic if you have no previous plant experience. If you have experience and get higher yielding plants, then yeah. 728 is doable on 3 400 watt grows. But that is 3 real decent first harvests. My first 3 were also 400 watts, i probably harvested about 400 off of those three. But I was not utilizing a grow forum for info like you are. There is lots of bullshit to swim through but there is much good info here and on others.

I am of the mind that genetics are the biggest factor in your yield. Get yourself high yielding genetics. Most breeders will say it is high yielding... look through forums to see what people are actually getting. Average = lower than you are looking for.

I've never tried Barneys Farm or Greenhouse, but, I do see quite a bit of negative talk about them. More negative about Barneys than GHS.

I think people dislike Arjan more than GHS genetics. That adds to the negative talk about GHS i am sure.

I can confidently speak high of...
Chimera
Peakseedsbc
Sannies
Bean Ho
Joey Weed

Other than Sannies, none of these guys do Fem though.

Super Silver haze flower times can be all over the place. be careful about that 8-9 week SSH. It could turn out to be more like 12.

400 watts give little penetration... learn about how to keep your canopy optimal. LST, and most importantly... lollipopping.

I keep hearing a lot of good about Sannies seeds...however, I don't really see strains that interest me. Are there any good breeders that would be available at Herbies or Attitude?
Indica (mainly Kush). Something that helps with sleep and pain mainly, any recommendations from trusted breeders?
Thanks again

Looks good but I would rec changing the super silver haze to super lemon haze, SLH has a good rep and gets a lot of praise, prob the most in GHS's line up.

Don't know about the Critical Kush or L.S.D....

Attitude came through for me on my first order, go with them!

about 8 ounces a grow with a 400 watt is very doable for an experienced grower. i'd aim lower at first. i would recommend that you grow more plants but you'll get the feel for things after a few grows.

how big is your grow space?

ssh is one of my favorites. i bought it when it first came out way back when. if i had more room, i'd always have one growing. it has 3 main phenos and that 12 weeker is the sativa pheno. they are the biggest yeilder but a pain at 90ish days. i used to go 90 days with it but i find that i love the high at 70 days and this is where i stop these days.

Not to quibble, but you are looking for something that helps with sleep and pain, and none of Sannie's or e$ko's Herijuana crosses interest you? Failing that, I dunno, anything that is at least a half central asian indica, such as Afghani, Pakistani, or Uzbeki, should be what you're looking for; and most reputable breeders have at least one or two of those. I'm trying Point of No Return right now from Mandala and it is definitely an indica dom that already has pleasing trich production at the four week mark.

There are many good strains there. You are very caught up in BS marketing. Barney's produces largely garbage that is unworthy of any garden.

No serious gardener I've seen considers GHS or Barney's "trusted breeders".

GHS has some decent stuff.

Honestly ordering from a company that only produces feminized seed tells you all you need to know about that company (they only wanna make $).

Depending on who you believe Arjan no longer has the original mom and father plants for most of his lineup. He does own the names however. Mr Nice seeds has the actual mothers and fathers and I rarely hear anyone seriously dispute this (by rarely, I mean never) with good info and pictures etc.

The SLH has a good reputation. A lot of folks have had luck with their Cheese (although it's Afghani x Cheese).

Well I'm not looking for Feminized seeds because I can't differentiate male from female. It's mostly for price and simplicity (and time).
I keep asking for good breeders but except for 1 or 2 (Mr Nice and Sannies) not much more pop up.
SO I'm gonna make a new list
Dinafem -Blue Widow -Cheese -Critical+ -White Widow
DNA -Sour Cream -Rocklock -L.A Confidential
Female seeds -C99 Hybrid X-Line -Lemon Kush X-Line -Black Widow X-Line -Extreme Indica -White Widow X Big Bud X-Line -Pure AK X-Line
Mandala (regular) -Satori -Hashberry
Mr Nice (regular) -Black Widow -Critical Mass -Super Silver Haze -Afghan Skunk
Paradise -Allkush
Reserva Privada -Purple Wreck -Kandy Kush -Headband/Sour Kush
Sannie's seeds -Extrema -Kolossus -Hericules
Sensi seeds -Skunk #1 -Super Skunk
Serious seeds -Chronic -AK47 -Kali Mist
TH Seeds -MK Ultra -Burmese Kush -MKage

I quite like the crosses from Sannie's after a thorough look. However I'm unsure if they are easy to grow?
I also like DNA, Female Seeds (cheap as hell), Mandala, Paradise Seeds, Reserva Privada, Serious Seeds and TH Seeds
Tell me if some of these companies are crap too ;)

BTW my room will be 2x4x5" (60x120x150) I know I could probably fit 4-6 plants in there but I'll start out with just 2 for now ;)

Time to medicate! Can't for the answers, I really wanna order soon (either Sannie's, herbie's or Attitude)

Thanks a whole lot to help me get this mess sorted :)
