FIrst / Second Grow AK48 CFL's Organ Grow

This is technically my second grow but my first grow was a sausage fest so I had to start over. I've got a grow box I made out of a uhaul moving box. Two custom carbon filters and 4 26w CFL's.

I started with two plants but one was male and I had to toss it. I saved it till today so I could collect some pollen. None of them opened up while in the box. I was really good at picking them at lights on and lights off. The female is doing great She's just over a foot tall now. There's a little purple in the stem but I'm not sure if it's the strain or not as I've never gotten this far into a grow.

im planning a cfl grow soon with autos is the box made of cardboard?

Yeah. It's one of the wardrobe ones from uhaul. When I want to hide it I Just throw clothes on it and it looks just like I'm a bit messy. It stays around 80 with the lights on and both fans running.

Well today is day 42. Not much to report. I wasn't here yesterday and apparently some of the leaves decided to decay a little. So total I've pulled the bottom two sets of leaves. I made sure to give her an extra big meal today. She's just over 14" tall now. Here's some pics.

Well they just woke up and everything seems to be going great. I gave them a good flush last night and things are looking really good. More bud sites and lots of green.

Well as I stated before I'm not entirely sure what day this started so 46 is a good guess. More white hairs every day. She's gotten a little taller but I think she's pretty much stopped growing height wise. I've moved the lights just a little so that there's lighting on all the middle and lower budding sites (I also rotate it 90 degrees every day). Well here's the pics. Any comments or suggests are more than welcomed.


Day 46

Well I got bored at work today and I've started looking into plasma induction lighting. Seems really interesting. For my next grow I'm thinking about buying two 50W bulbs. One 2700K and one 6500K. I'll run both through flower and veg and see what happens. Supposidly a 50w can compete with a 90w LED UFO but for less than half the price. They pump out much more lumen than CFL's and run about as cool as the LED's do. I'm thinking I'll place an order the 2700k one and add it to my current grow. I found a 50w one for just $65. Seems to be the best deal I can find.

Well I placed an order for the induction light. Unfortunately the 50w ones are 200+ volts. So I had to order the 40w one that's 120v. So not quite the power I was hoping for but I'm going to use this as my top light once it comes in. I'll still keep the CFL's on the side. Then once I harvest I'll order the 65k one.

Oh and the ones I'm ordering come with a 5 year warranty. If the light goes out at all I can get it replaced.

Well I've been sick the last few days so I haven't really wanted to post any pics. So far everything seems to be going well. Trying to balance out the feeding though. I gave it a little too much and burnt one of the top leaves (not too badly). I've also had to trim off a few of the lower leaves which is normal from what i've heard as they tend to die as the plant becomes more mature. The bud sites of lots of white hairs and it looks like THC crystals are forming on the leaves. Since I've never had a grow go this far I'm not 100%. I'll try to post pics today.
