Ok so heres what I have so far. I set up a grow-op in my closet which is 4x4x8. I have a 400w MH Hydrolite and a 8 foot floro set up in middle back wall mounted. I am only running the MH during veg and am going to run the floro with the MH during flowering so the whole plant can obtain light, I will just rotate my plants. For ventilation I have a furnace blower mounted on wall and blowing directly to the outside, through the wall. I have to leave the door cracked for inbound air flow but I have to close it at lights out. I have a small 8" fan blowing at the lite, which blows back down and breezes my plants. I am a noob so I had a few ?s I was hoping somebody could be so kind as to answer.

1. should ventilation be constant or periodic? Fan, blower, etc...
2. How close should my light be from plants?
3..... I have two plants at 2 weeks old and some waiting to push through, the ones out are fine except the one will spontaneously fall over all the way hanging over the cup, but if I hold it up for 30 sec or so it stands, but again it falls over at some point during the door being shut. Any ideas? heat stress maybe? How do I know if its too hot or too humod?

Thx for any assistance.:peace:

using 400W lamp on seedling is too much ive heard can cause heat stress or dry them out. use cfls for seedling. what spectrum is ur MH ? i think cfls should be added with it during veg for extra blue spectrum not needed for flowering if Mh is closer to red which will be ideal for flowering.

my lamp is a 400w MH with Sylvania BUlb. spectru is high in greens and mids in blue. little to no red or orange. I have floro on back wall with two sylvania sunstix that are full spectrum 90cri. IM also flowering with the MH. I was told it would work as good as HPS.
