First Propper Grow. Started Flowring, What Do You Think?

First propper attempt to grow. Been vegging my Bulldog Haze for about 10 weeks now and made the switch to 12/12 yesterday. It's about 3 ft and looks very healthy. Out of interest how much do you think it'll yield? It's got two main colas and 2 other big colas. I'm going to lollipop it about 2 weeks into flowering. Is that a good idea? Anyway i'm interested what you guys think of it. (BTW i posted this thread in 'General Marijuana Growing' and i wanted to delete it but i can't do it myself. I thought this category is more suitable for this thread. ThanksView attachment 2646814View attachment 2646815

I'm no pro but looks fairly healthy indeed to me! What type of lights do you have on em? And how old were she when you topped her? if you did top her at all?

Yeah i thought it was looking good :D I have a 400w HPS and had it on 18/6. Topped her at 5 weeks (should have done it earlier tbh)

MH = A metal-halide lamp is an electric light that produces light by an electric arc through a gaseous mixture of vaporized mercury and metal halides[SUP][1][/SUP][SUP][2][/SUP] (compounds of metals with bromine or iodine). It is a type of high-intensity discharge (HID) gas discharge lamp.[SUP][1][/SUP] Developed in the 1960s, they are similar to mercury vapor lamps,[SUP][1][/SUP] but contain additional metal halide compounds in the arc tube, which improve the efficiency and color rendition of the light.

Basicly what you vegged with I assume and you switch to a HPS to flower

HPS= A sodium-vapor lamp is a gas-discharge lamp that uses sodium in an excited state to produce light. There are two varieties of such lamps: low pressure and high pressure. Low-pressure sodium lamps are the most efficient electrical light sources, but their yellow light restricts applications to outdoor lighting such as street lamps. High-pressure sodium lamps have a broader spectrum of light but poorer color rendering than other types.

They look good, I Lollipop'd mine on my last grow, I'm not going to this time.

mh= metal halide....... looks good. I like to top early there are several methods I top above the 3rd node which will give you a nice 4 cola plant removing the 1st node, I been fooling with training it mainlign styl though

Ya what that guy said ^^ lol

Was just curious what light you used durin veg, a cfl, florescent, or you could of even used your HPS all the way through?

I would of liked to top mine earlier but i honestly didn't know what i was doing. It was looking so healthy i didn't want to screw it up. I'm going to top alot earlier from now on and i might even try your method

I have a buddy who uses the HPS the whole way, I guess it works out for him. I was always told it can cause your plants to stretch more and its basically Isn't the right spectrum. I start my plants in Veg under t5's... Then when they are bigger I switch them to the other tent into a MH to keep plants going in my other tent under the t5's vegging. I've vegged' and flowered a grow complete under t5's start to finish I just changed the bulbs to adjust to the light spectrum. Decent yield, low heat and less electricity...Bud's weren't as dense though. never bothered with CFL's besides in my household lights

Thanks. How comes you're choosing not to lollipop? I've only heard good things from it?

Well i guess it's working for me too. I honestly thought this was the way you was supposed to do it. Never heard of using 2 different bulbs for veg and flowering. Allthough you mentioning that it makes them stretch has happened to me. When i first got this setup i didnt know what i was doing and i managed to squeeze about 8 plants in my little tent. They stretched to over 6 ft, not sure if it was the light or the fact that there was too many plants fighting for the light. It was a awful harvest in the end ):
