Hey guys, after doing some training in the garden today I noticed two plants had some preflowers, as this is my first grow I'm not sure if they're far along enough yet to determine sex from but my anxious self figured I'd snap some pics and get some opinions! :weed:

We're going on roughly week 7 for these two plants.

Plant #1:

Plant #2:

Garden after a small training session this morning :

Thanks for any help! The second may for sure be too early, and number one kinda looks like balls to me :( hopefully they're not!

IF this were my grow...I would mist plant #1 place a plastic garbage bag over HIM and remove HIM from the garden and once there....I would...Hack 1.jpg and then...Hack 2.jpg and then...Hack 3.jpg

Then I would shower before going near plant #2 that I was pretty would now be a safe female.

Dude, testicles are testicles and vagina's are vagina's and with a few exceptions there is no deviation from the laws of nature. That plant has testicles, balls, nads, grapes, danglers, or whatever else you want to call them...a testicle is a testicle by any other name.

So...in short....right and wrong.jpg

Nope wrong again...females have periods not males....if I were you I would go find my high school anatomy teacher and smack the shit out of him.

In the mean time...that plant has balls I am sorry that you are not able to admit when you are wrong. Humility is a good thing to practice on internet forums.

But telling a grower with 2 plants and one of them showing to be male to 'wait a few days' can likely pollinate his female thus extremely reducing quality and quantity of the only other plant he has.

That is provided that the OP cannot decide what to do for himself but I am giving him more credit than being an automaton who follows RIU members advice without question.. In the end he has to decide to cut or keep it...not me, not you

Well funny ya mention that back in the day me and my school teacher got into a little scuffle, ruffed him up a little bit ya. But if like yer said its up to the original poster to decide. If it were me i'd give it more time its his plants ya know? But I respect ya bkbudz. I always see ya helping people and i respect that.

Well, thank you for the undeserved props...I really try to not 'help' or 'advise' another farmer and just offer my opinion. Even if the answer to a question is obvious...I still encourage growerz to learn on their own. I have many growerz that I follow and who follow me. It is always wonderful to see a newbie who kills plants by the dozen...finally stop loving their plants to death and learn to cultivate quality medicine.

Also, I respect your view and you certainly have the right to debate my opinions when I offer them up freely on an anonymous open forum. So let's agree to disagree on this one.....even if I am right...LOL!!!!! :bigjoint::peace:

The plant has not definitely shown pollen sacks though just pre-flowers that could turn into them. I've grown several bagseed plants and they show strange growth formations. My biggest female plant had pre-flowers like in the first picture. Took her five weeks to show her sex.

At the stage OP plant is at though waiting a few days is the smartest thing to do in case this plant does turn out to be female. Even if the plant is male it's not going to pop pollen anytime soon so waiting a few days or even a week wouldn't hurt and certainly wouldn't pollinate your tent.

Something has simple has taking a couple of clones many weeks ago would have saved you all this feeding and training on a plant that may be male.

Not dissing ya dude they look well

Hey man, vegging them for 18/6 (the first month being under 20w cfls, now they're under a 400w MH, has been about two and a half weeks under this new light) - with the multiple opinions I think I'm gonna leave the first plant alone for some more time, being sure to check it over the next week or so for any hairs to get a more definitive answer on its sex, this is a bagseed grow after all so if it's ultimately male which I'm thinking it is, I'm just glad I caught it young and can get it out asap.

Does smell have anything to do with sex? I'm noticing plant #2 is very skunky where as #1 doesn't produce much smell until being touched, i.e. after a training session usually.

It's cool, thanks for the advice!

I learned something for the future, I know better now is all I can say. This is a practice run, anyways. Feeding was limited ($30 Neptune's Harvest Fish/Seaweed fertilizer which I can see lasting me a few grows easily) so if it turns out to be male I won't be all that disappointed as I'm already setup for the future with a grow setup that I didn't think I'd have for a little while :bigjoint:

Thank you for the replies everyone, the opinions still are appreciated as well to read and learn from for future grows; I'm optimistic it can turn out to be female but I'm not going to mess with it besides pulling leaves aside to checkup on those pre-flowers.
