Mark, your plant is starveing for light. Here is a picture of my plant at 15 days old. with plenty of light a t-5 tube light, and a bunch of cfls. Your plants are stretching, and not getting very much growth, but hang in there. Hardly anyone ever gets it correct there first crop. I use the 43 watt CFL's which produce the same as 150 watts.

i knew something was wrong. i thought it should have been bigger by now. my set up is just a box with aluminum foil on the inside and i have 3 lights on it. they look like your lights, and mine are 23 watts each. how can i fix this? i almost gave up on it after i transplanted it but i dont want it to die now. what do you suggest i do?

Get rid of the tin foil, it has been known to have hot spots which might burn your plants. and change out the 23 watt lights to 43 watt lights. I use Panda film for reflective wall covering. Visqueen that is black on one side and white on the other. Hydro stores carry it.

Lowes or home depoe has these lights. I veg my plants for only about 30 days. this crop is only going to veg for 3 weeks. A T-5 light is nice to have also, they are about $50 for a single tubed 2 footer. That and (3) 43 watt cfls would do good.

Hydro stores have the T-5 lights.

For flowering stage,, you might want to boost up to a small high Pressure Sodium light, but some people have gotten very nice buds from just cfls.

And do not over water or over love your plants.

One last thing, it is always best to grow at least 3 plants, even if you only want one. Because you have to kill off the male plants. I have had 7 of 8 plants be males before,, that sucked.

thanks for the advise. tomorrow im going to go buy those other light bulbs. i have a 4 ft flourecent tube light in the garage somewhere. do you think that might help at all? and as for the light cycle what do you recomend?

Take that 4' flouro light and take out the bulb, and go buy the t-5 bulb. it will work in that fixture. But yes,, that light will help.

Myself, when on veg, I leave them on 24/7 for the first 3 weeks.

If you can get 2 125w CFL's. As for adding that 4fter you've got? The more light, the better. Remember you can never have too much light on this babies. As for lighting schedule, It depends on what you want out of your plants. 24hr lighting for vegging will keep plants growing faster but more light can produce more males. 18/6 is the best light schedule for vegging if you do not have feminised seeds. If you want small plants and a small yield you can use a flowering light schedule of 12/12 directly from the beginning.
