So this is my first plant off of cfl's. still i am kinda clueless and just kinda winging it. Just curious as to if it is doing good. i mean to me it is amazing but i honestly have no idea if it is, and what i am really doing and if it is even doing well.

yea man it looks alright. how old is it? how many cfl's you got?
i think you should move your light closer, your plant looks a little stretched out!
do you know what L.S.T is ?

yeah it's definately stretched. those lights can be 2'' or 3'' away without any problem.

L.S.T is low stress training. You can tie your plant down bit by bit and the side shots will grow towards the light like a bunch of main colas.

I've never done it but tie a piece of string to the top of your plant and bend your plant down bit by bit and tie the string to something to hold the plant down or put it under something. Be careful not to break your stem, I heard it's better about a half hour after watering.

if you want to make your plant more bushy get Bonide Tomato Set Spray, the kinetin causes lateral branching and helps to prevent stretching.

Your plant definitely looks stretched and very thin. I suggest you get at least 2 more CFLs and put them on the sides of the plant. Side lighting will help your plant get a little more bushier and help node growth. Also if your plant did get too tall and thin, it would start to bend over. You want a nice thick stalk. Good luck!
