First PC Grow - Need your solid advice!

dude your plants are lookin rad :) just my 2 cents, you might want to black out your tubs somehow, if your roots make it to the edges of the pots they might not apprieciate the light as much as the leaves do. Also try pop another globe in there...I have 4 23 watt globes in my PC box, plants are diggin it :)

The girls look good, one of them (pic 3 I think) the tips are turning brown, I'm hoping that it's just a reaction to nutes when I transplanted. I'm sticking to straight water for the next couple of days.
Comments on how they look? Are they too droopy?
hey Ogonzo, looking good m8, stop fretting ur plants will be fine, don't over water and as you said lay off the nutes for awhile, I used a 2ltr bottle for my pc grow, next time though I`m using a 1.5ltr bottle. good luck and happy growing :-)

Alright guys .. here's today's update. Looks like the growth is happening nicely. The temp was in the low 90's last night and the humidity was mid to high 30's. I added another cup of water in there to help increase the humidity a little, I may have to pick up a humidifier to help.

I think they are looking good for day four since transplant into their final home. I was reading about FIM'ing, and I think I read somewhere that you should do it after the fourth node - is that correct?

I would worry less about humidity and more about temps. High heat and high humidity are a good environment for mold.

Oh.....and by looking at your previous picture, it appears your only watering near the plant. Water the entire container and water less times....this will promote root growth.

Yeah .. I only added a little bit of water near the plant, so when I water next it will be the whole pot. How heavy should I water them?
Last night was the first night it was in the low 90's, normally it's been mid to low 80's.

I was doing the same thing....watering at the plant....and was corrected by others. I'm assuming that you have drain-holes....the rule-of-thumb is to give water until it starts coming out the drain holes.

The theory is that if there's only water near the plant, the roots will not search for more water. Even watering on a less regular basis will make the roots search for more damp soil...which it will find if the soil away from the plant is indeed damp.

Regarding your temps......too fuckin' hot! You have three bulbs in there...at this point you can get the same grow results with one bulb....I'd go with the 6500K.

Hey .. the temps are back down to mid to low 80's, where they have been since I plugged in the grow. I think all is good now.
I'll post some pics shortly, I've caught a hell of a bug and been spending the morning sleeping or on the can - maybe some ganja will help ..

Hey guys .. day 6 and I think they are looking good. One is a little bushier than the other but I think they are on track. I've started adding fertilizer at 1/4 strength - I watered them yesterday so next one should be tomorrow depending on how damp the soil is.

I wanted to get everyone's thoughts on FIM. I see that what looks like the fourth node coming up now, can I FIM her or should I wait until the next node comes out. Is this even an option I should be considering since it's my first grow?

I was also going to LST them down, is it safe to do that with FIM?

Thoughts? Suggestions? Comments?

Hey man, things are all still lookin good to me. Keep it up, whatever you're doin seems to be workin. Are you still in the pc box? I'm doin pc grow myself in a pretty small case, and I'm really enjoying it. I've been impressed with the results so far, and stunned by some of the other RUI pc threads on here.

As for FIM or LST, or FIM and LST... My personal 2cents says just stick with LSTing... That alone will keep you pretty busy in such a tight space, and assuming your vegging before flowering (i've gone 12/12 from seedling) then I reckon you'll fill things out without any problem. I'm not sure I can see the benefit of FIMing in a pc case, as it seems to me to be a process that's really dealing with people who've got room for the plant to grow vertically and therefore go for multiple main colas. But if you're in a pc=box, it makes sense to me to keep everything lst'd nice and low, and let the growth all come from the side of the plant.

heh.. opinions are like assholes... everyone's got one... so take it all with a pinch of salt, as I'm a little stoned right now.

subbed to thread. how'd I not spot this grow earlier?!?

Thanks for the kind words. So far I've just been watering them, I'm about to add my first nutes at 1/4 strength tomorrow.
I fim'ed one plant and not the other. Since I've got two plants in my pc box, I have to get something bigger shortly. I'm trying to work with the wife to fine the best stealth option for us. If all works well, I might try both techniques and see what happens.

Ok .. this is Day 7, and I'm excited - the girls, named Betty and Mary-Jane - look like they are doing well!

2013-06-10 05.57.55.jpg2013-06-10 05.57.55.jpg2013-06-10 05.58.29.jpg2013-06-10 05.59.06.jpg2013-06-10 05.59.18.jpg

This is the vertilzer I bought to try. The guy at the Hydro store raves about it and the evidence on his plants in the shop is amazing!!
2013-06-10 06.03.29.jpg

I fimmed Betty yesterday, and I noticed a couple of sprouts comming out of her this morning. I can't wait to see her when I get home.

So I got home and I was actually amazed at how bushy Betty is getting, she seemed bushier than this am!

2013-06-10 18.09.56.jpg2013-06-10 18.10.20.jpg

If I'm not mistaken, I can see some shoots where I fimm'ed her.

2013-06-10 18.12.58.jpg2013-06-10 18.13.36.jpg

Mary-Jane looks like might have some issues, I noticed a couple of brown spots on two of her leaves.

2013-06-10 18.08.53.jpg2013-06-10 18.09.20.jpg

I'm not sure if it's because I got some water on the leaves or if it's some sort of deviciency.

Should I be worried?

I say no to worrying. I get spots and burns on my leaves a lot, and it seems to me that it's just where there was a droplet of water that's magnified the heat on there and scorched her a little. Everything's looking lush and lovely, give yourself a pat on the back, dear fellow!

Good Morning Ladies and Gentlemen!
Here is this morning's update, and man, do they smell nice!! A nice grass/weed smell.

2013-06-11 06.07.58.jpg2013-06-11 06.07.33.jpg2013-06-11 06.07.17.jpg

Mary-Jane continues to have brown spots and "gold" flecks on one of the leaves. I think I'm not going to worry though.

Betty on the other hand, she looks like she's doing really well. Looks like there's growth coming out where I FIM'd her, not sure if these are leave or if the are actually new stems growing out - next couple of days will tell.

2013-06-11 05.56.01.jpg2013-06-11 05.56.35.jpg2013-06-11 05.57.03.jpg2013-06-11 05.57.35.jpg

I was thinking of starting to LST her down, Im not sure if timing is right or if the new growth would be affected by the LST. Should I be ok if I start to tie her down?
