Have a nice healthy blue dream going in the backyard this week. Im digging a big hole for a 65 gallon smart pot to sit in and line the hole with a layer of rock then sand,( or vice versa not sure what would be the best but the backyard has tons of gophers) and tie it down to the ground. Going to use roots 707 and feed it ak fish emulsion for veg. Hav'nt decided on bloom nutes yet. But what amount of dolamite do you use for keeping the proper ph.? Im buying some of those solar powered ground spikes that are supposed to get rid of gophers, do those things really work? Any other advice would be great.

you dont really need to use lime unless the soil you plan to use already has a high pH. i imagine roots 707 already has lime added to it.

I want to use water from the hose to water it. I don't want to run into lockout when Im doing an outdoor plant. I'm pretty sure I need to add lime to the soil to prevent that.

Already have a digital pen. If its too high dolomite will bring it to neutral but not below. Cottonseed meal is acidic but I have no idea how to use it or where to buy. Can you get a test kit that would tell you the hardness of your water or whats in it? I'll test my water then get back to ya.
