First Organic Grow with Full Fluorescent Lighting

Growth per day is a poor way to measure light...No one is doubting that it works for you...I just need more factual evidence before I'm sold, that's all. What is the Lumen drop per inch (or CM), and how does the spectrum blend play with hormones, etc...Where's Bill Nye?

dont know about all that tech mumbo jumbo your talking I know I get good results from my LED's...these are some of my girls at 6 weeks flower time on my first LED grow. My partner was growing the same strain, same clones with hps, and mine yielded the same weight, only with more resin production.

hey, nice setup...are you flowering under the t5s or are you using a hps? If you are using the T5s when do you plan on flowering...i waited a month and feel that that was way too long since the penetration isn't the best...don't get me wrong I think they are great lights, you may want to consider topping or lst for better coverage...either way you setup is more legit than mine...have a good grow I will be watching

Or I could prune the lower vegetation OFF and bend the 4 colas outward...We'll see...the mystery strain is SATIVA dominant for sure so I'll play a little and see...

PH is 5.9
Temp is 71.2 F
Humidity is 67%

They are exploding!

Le Fruit Defendu is a bushy mother indeed!

The Misty's are a little thinner, but not by much so I like them for T5 Flowering...

Using a separate T5 4' 8 bulb for flowering with a pulley system for easy adjustment...

Putting the Mothers into #10 Smart Pots tomorrow. I will use #7's for the ones destined to be flowered this spring.

Using Trichoderma Bacteria because I can...

:clap:The pictures are of each plant, starting from the back left (Fruit) and going right, then forward (Misty).

Your plants look good. I really like peruvian Seabird Guano I have had a tremendous amount of luck using it. I'm not the biggest fan of fluorescent lighting (my own opinion) they cost to much for the amount of light they put off I'm not sure what kind of heat the t5's put off But my experience with fluoresces is you can put them right on top of the plants.

Happy growing..

It is true that fluorescent lighting does not put out a lot of light for their wattage usage...but...there is no need to be running high output fans and other ventilation costs associated with HID lighting...every form of light has their trade offs. T5's put out marginally more heat that other fluoro tubes, but can still be extremely close as long as they are not touching the plants kinda like cfls

The key to flowering with T5's is light bending and pruning methods. I'm not claiming I can out produce any one, I'm just saying I can run an Organic garden in my house and my bill is under 200 bucks a month TOTAL! And the house is full...so ya...penetration sucks compared to HPS but I don't use that much power either. I also don't expect a lot out of my garden...just enough medicine to deal with the pain, man...

PH is 5.9
Temp is 72.9 F
Humidity is 65%

Mothers are in 7's now as well as first bloomers

Others are going to a "SPA" compared to my set up.

I am completely satisfied with the strain and set up so far.
Rigorous growth, excellent root system, healthy, no pests or diseases!

The garden is BIGGER!:bigjoint:

half strength Bio Thrive with full strength Bio Roots and Bio Weed and Diamond Black

Ill subscribe. How much did that T5 hood and lights cost? Also do you know how much a single one of those tube lights is to replace? P.S. your plants look very healthy and natural. I like.

Bulbs are 5 for blue, 8 for red, and I got both hoods w/ 2 sets of blue and 1 red set for a little over 500 bucks!
