Day 35 Flower (aka beginning of week 6!) I have noticed a lot more orange hairs all around the buds as well as more frost! Vertical growth has seemed to stop. As I'm 2-3 weeks from Harvest, I have started the Advanced Nutrients Overdrive bloom fert and will use it up until a few days before harvest. First feeding was yesterday. Here are some pics!

Got off work a little early today and was able to get a full natural light pic right after the lights cut off. Looks really cool :). For those that have grown a lot, does the development look on track for 37 days into flower? Let me know! IMG_20160318_143906300.jpg

DAY 39 Flower Update. (for ww1+2 not 3) I've noticed some very minimal tip burn which I'm pretty sure came from the Overdrive fert I used. I will try to use a little less next feeding and see if the problem gets fixed. Other than that, they are growing super great! I took a small cutting of a sugar leaf to give you guys an idea of the trichomes so far. Also there is one of a pistil just because :P. Other than those you will find 2 bud pics of ww1 (one from the side to give an idea of bud legth from top.) Also 2 pics of ww2's bud development and a pic of ww3's bud development (clone of ww1.) Cheers guys. Hope the pictures satisfy! I will update again in a few days! Feel free to comment.. I will respond!

When checking trics, ive been taught to look at the trics on the bud itself, the trics on sugar leaves mature and turn amber much quicker (in my limited experience)
Thank you for your inputtraplife! My microscope is so much easier to use with a small cutting.. Especially when taking pictures into it. Do you have tips for how to do this with part of the bud rather than a sugar leaf?

Its a bitch but you just gotta hunch over your plants, hold a bud with one hand, and your scope with the other and try and have hands steady as a surgeon lol. if your microscope has built in LEDs it helps a lot with shadows blocking your light!

I take a chair and steady my elbows on the back of the chair while I cradle the bud in my hand, like when you kiss your girlfriend, and bring the scope close to the bud. Do you have a scope, jewelers loupe or what?

I have this :
arson MicroBrite Plus 60x-120x Power LED Lighted Pocket Microscope (MM-300)
It has an LED but since I have a scrog, I can't pull the plant out to get a good angle. Tomorrow marks the last day of week 6! It is aan 8 week strain so when are the buds gonna dense up!?

I have that exact same microscope. The way i check my trichs is get your focus set first by checking one spot like a sugar leaf, then i dont adjust the focus again i just move it around to different buds and with a lil bit of practice you will be able to find the sweet spot where it focuses clear by adjusting your pressure youre putting against the plant. I check 3-4 buds from diff areas on plant until i like what i see. Then chop it.

I also have the same one but I also picked up a digital one that I can hook up to my laptop and snap pictures. As far as density is concern it's all up to the lighting you have on them...but CFL lights tends to grow fluffy buds.

The 40w cfl is just in there for supplemental lighting. The LED is the main source with almost 4x the watts.

Oh ok...then you should be ok bud density has alot to due with lighting but other facters are invovled. Once you get those dialed in than you're on your way to growing dense buds, temps, humidity, air flow. Once you got it dialed in, it's hello time.

DAY 43! The start of week 7 is here! Got some pic updates of how everything is lookin. Leaves were very droopy this morning.. I think I waited a day too long to water. Never the less I gave them a nice watering today and added Overdrive. I lowered the dosage a bit hoping to avoid any more nute burn. When I get home from work I'm sure the leaves will have sprung back up from the watering. Hopefully I can get home in time to take a natural light pic of the buds as the lights switch. A few more pics to come in 3 ½ hours or so! Give feedback please! If this is an 8 week strain the buds should hypothetically start to thicken during these last two weeks right? Or is it looking like it might take longer?IMG_20160324_100802719_HDR.jpg IMG_20160324_110915.jpg IMG_20160324_100911059_HDR.jpg IMG_20160324_101031938.jpg IMG_20160324_101327394.jpg
