have you done previous grows without leds?
how does the veg/growth differ? faster? slower?
have you noticed healthier plants or any deficiencies?

LED's grow OK plants. I've gotten good yields and healthy plants. Most LED's are a multi spectrum and can be used from veg-flowering.

This multi bulb also helps it stay vigorous through growth having such a full spectrum.

However I've never seen a monster under LED. HPS/MH for now will always be the best. I use T5 myself, no need to fuss with air and high bills with simple lights.

would it be best to use mh/hps with t5/led sub/sidelighting for the full spectrums with targeted areas for maximum performance? including a flower initiator (730 nm used to induce the sleep cycle approximately 2 hours earlier then normal)

Woah someone's getting hardcore! :o

Scientifically speaking, "yes". As long as you provide equal amount of nutrients, C02 and H20 as you do light.

Plants need all 4 of these things to grow, missing one will incomplete the cycle and your wasting the others.
This is how you "super-grow" by overplentifying (my word) these 4 ingredients for growth.

Lights from above don't get to the lower leaves. That's why you sometimes see reflective material around and under the plants.
So lights on the sides would provide penetration of light to places not able to from above.

MH/HPS are the best if you have the money for them and their cooling; but if you want to save money and time, you can just trim them and tie the branches out for maximum exposure and do with what you have. :-P

You did not mention any particulars on which led you are using.

Way to much blue for flowering. Blue should only be ~ 10-15% during flower. This looks like too much in veg as well. More 500-600 spectrum during veg

You need to add ~ 80% more light in the red spectrum. Could be WW (~3000K) led globes, or tubes. I'm using tubes to great effect so far.
