First journal and first real grow!

Hey everyone welcome to a bit of a jounal/logbook of my first real grow,
Smile, laugh and cry with me as i begin my journey.

Im currently growing 2 (apparent) og kush from seed
Ive chosen to go with straight coco using a 2ft 2 bulb t5 for the start of veg + the seedling stage.

Light cycle is 24/0 until ive hit veg then ill go to 20/4.
Ive been using 1/4 strength nutes in distilled water since day 1 and theres no sign of burn or anything.

Im growing in a secret jardin dr90 and will eventually have a 600w MH running until flower when ill use a HPS bulb.

Im still mid way purchasing equipment,
But all will be done before its actually needed

First pics are from 28th aug and roughly a week old
Next are today so 9 days later

Overall im pretty happy with how things are going, ive stuffed up seedling before because i jumped into it with no knowledge and no real equipment.
Ive since read alot and am hoping this time will be different haha!

I'll try to keep this updated weekly until things pick up a bit with growth then ill update more often :)

Thanks everyone and enjoy the ride!!!

Update...
Its been 5 days since i started this post and im happy with the progress so far!

Im calling today the official day 1 of veg as the cotyledons have started to fall off as of this morning.

I transplanted into these pots 2 days ago and am happy with how they've responded.

Im still under the t5 and will continue it for the next 2-3 weeks before switching to 600w MH for another 3-4 weeks of veg.

I will be topping these plants in the next week, im just waiting for another 2 nodes first. Or should i be topping sooner?

Im feeding 1/2 strength nutes with distilled water and they seem to like that.

Temps during day stay between 20-23 degrees (68-73f approx)
Nights are slightly cooler.
Humidity stays between 45%-60%

Any advice or tips would be great!

Thanks mate!
I transplanted the other day to roughly 2 gal pots (they will finish in 5 gals)
I was really happy with the root system though, filled those pots in the photos perfectly :)
I'll upload some more photos and an update later today if i get a chance!
I try not to transplant to many times. I use the same small pot as use but when I transplant I go strait to 50 litre pot.
All my plant will go 1and half to 2 lbs of each plant. They are coming along very nice keep up good work

Thanks man!
Yeah originally i was going to go straight into the 5 gal pots (20L) but im yet to get them as i have to order them online,
Will the extra transplant make much of an impact or should i be getting them into the final pots sooner?

Just one more thing I have been growing in coco for over 15 years. You should get a small tray to go underneath your pots. So when you are feeding them when that waste come out of your pot it will go in to the tray. And then when all the waste is gone you can feed them again just a good way to make sure that your plants are getting a enough feeds

Thanks ive just been taking them out to feed atm but have been trying to think of the best way to go about it as its a bit of a hassle taking them out of the room each time lol

Oh wow nice work man!
I hope mine turn out half that good haha.
What sort of setup are you running?
And i know its early days but what are you expecting yield wise? I've been told not to expect a very big yield thats all

not sure on the og kush but I run a total of 6 plants under 9x600 hps. I will be hoping for 9 to 10 lbs

Oh yeah thats just a tad bigger than my little tent setup haha.
Im in sa at the moment but hoping to make a move over to tassie next year if all goes to plan :)

Oh really, sa is ok but definitely has its flaws haha.
Yeah ive only been over once but i loved it there, plus i want a property with some land and its pretty cheap over that way :weed:
Im heading over to melb next month for a few days actually :)

Thats an awesome setup man, id love to have something like that up and running. Gotta start somewhere though haha,
Roughly what size block could you get for that over in vic? I havent looked into prices there, i just expected it to be pricey lol
