First Indoor Grow

I have 4 Plants total 1x Northern Light #5 and 3 "bag seeds". I only need advice on the one below. I'm about 3 Weeks in, I haven't really kept track. Any tips on when to look for the preflowers. I just tied down the new shoots with pipe cleaners. The Northern Light is in a 5gal bucket with a hydrofarm dual port pump with 2 4" air stones, all in a 6" net pot lid with hydroton. I'm using General Hydroponics Veg Powdered Nutes. All help and advice greatly appreciated.

I dont know why but it looks like it may be a dude. But it could just be new growth. Can you get a clearer picture up next to the node.
