first indoor grow

i am startin my first all indoor grow. I bought some dual spectrum curly lights from stealth hyrdo, but I am interested in high pressure sodium.. I can get 250w from the home depot. Is that enough wattage.. how many would I need for a 4x12 closet??? thinkin 2 chamber one grow one bud??? thanks for the help!!!!

Its really hard to get light even in rectangle closets, I would suggest breaking it down to a 4x4 and 4x8 then that way you can get a 250 maybe for the 4x4... what type of venting do you plan on having? I have a 4x4 for my flowering room with a 600 watt and I've spent about $500 to keep it at around 70f.

a 250 watt is good for 2' by 2'. to do the whole closet you need at least 3x400 watt HPS, and preferably 3x600 watt. you could also use 2x1000 watt, but get better results with 3x600.

now as far as 2 chambers, each being 4x6 then the 2x1000 watt lights make sense. The veg side would be Metal Halide and the flower side would be High Pressure Sodium.

If you just HAVE to use 250 watt HPS, make sure you buy about 12 of them.

i have a 600 watt hps in a 3x3 and one plant and have never had above 85 bit its usually 76. . .one small desk fan taped to exaust fixture on reflector and a fan in the room....sorry about your waste of money lil jess

Thanks ya'll!!! Yeah with the curly lights I haven't need a fan or vents, down here we are still runnin our air and the closet is vented... I am thinkin a bathroon exhaust fan through the attic???
