Keeping my electricity costs down is most important to me I feel. Just gotta find a good deal on led light. thanks though350 CFM is Cubic Feet per Minute and it is talking about the volume of air your fan can move in a minute. I'd suggest you not buy a kit. If you're going LED you want to budget the majority of your money for that. Everything else is easily replaced but your lights make all the difference.
Conserve money everywhere but your light. You should buy the BEST light.
If you run in an air cooled hood they are cooler than most LEDs. That's another thing holding me back from moving to LEDs. I'll have to install a mini split whereas now my air cooled hoods do it. I can let my plants touch my hood's glass without burning as long as they aren't in the beam's focus they won't light bleach either so theoretically you can get more head room with a HID too.
Being he's starting today I'd recommend a good 2x2 coverage LED because as he improves he'll up his lights and could move that one down to a separate veg tent.
Really? I would have to disagree and believe I can grow four in a 1.2x1.2 quite comfortably so long as I buy the right strain and take my time learning.Bigger tent
Down to you... one plant is less hassle... no competing for space. Cheaper to set up. I grow my plants 3 foot then flower.Really? I would have to disagree and believe I can grow four in a 1.2x1.2 quite comfortably so long as I buy the right strain and take my time learning.
You may prove me wrong of course so no judgment here.
Research AC units mine has a dehumidifier built in. May cost more but might be worth it.Thank you for the wishes, i wish you the best of luck as well
Another thing i would add, temperature and humidity is equally important as everything else, maybe even a top priority in my opinion.
Nothing worse than mold and bud rot! I think everyone would rather have a small yield of weak weed but healthy, than a large yield of moldy and rotten weed
Personally i have to install a complete AC unit from scratch, and get a good dehumidifier because the RH is 70-80% here next to the ocean. This will double my initial costs and up the electricity bill, something to consider if you need it as well.
Humidity here currently goes between 50% - 60$. I have an ac unit but no dehumidifier.Research AC units mine has a dehumidifier built in. May cost more but might be worth it.
Cool I have one that will do exactly that I reakonI ran ducting from the bottom of my tent over toward the AC, then the fan draws from inside the tent and exhaust out of the tent. It has so much negative pressure that it pulls in the sides of the tent and also pulls cool air into the tent.
How about this tent? Can the tent be budget as this one is over half the price of the better looking ones?
I can fit this size easily so figured why not for the future, I can still start small and move about in it easier.

Honestly you can fit 6 in a tent that size, even more with experience, but from a quality standpoint I wouldn't go over 4. I think if it where me with what i know I would get a 7-10 gallon and grow one or two plants. You'll get the same volume because you'll let the tent fill up just the same but you won't over do the light. Remember this isn't the best choice in lights, it's the best light for you budget, so there's gonna be compromises. This light is better suited for a 3x3 so consider that. the veg area will be fine but the bloom area is 3x3 not 4x4. People will tell you different but trust me one good plant beats 4 mediocre plants any day. You sound new to indoors so keep things simple. One or two plants 7 gallon, or one plant 10 gallon. Focus on a strong root system. and make sure you cut out the bottom 3rd of the plant. Make it look like a lollipop. use LST to control the top canopy and keep it even. Using Advanced nutrients means you will not have to worry about PH as long as you stick with the rest of their nutrient line. They are designed to work together. If you splurge on more than the base nutrients go for Tarantula, Piranha, and Voodoo Juice in the 250 or 500 ml bottles that way you spend less and cover your whole grow during veg. As time goes and you save money grab rhino skin to take you into bloom and add B-52 or big bud. Lastly add overdrive in the end of the grow and flawless finish when your ready to flush. anything outside of the base nutrients are optional, but I would grab molasses and add a teaspoon every other feeding and toss in a teaspoon of Epsom salt every other feeding, the two replace cal-mag and bud candy. If you buy anyone else's nutrient additives you'll want to keep an eye on PH. Veg that baby till it reaches half the height of your grow space/tent before flipping to bloom. try not to defoliate too much, the fan leaves take in and process light and help the plant along. Don't water/feed everyday, skipping a day or two causes the roots to grow looking for water causing the plant to grow. Once you plant is taller than the bucket start bottom feeding, meaning you pour water/feed into a tray that the plant pot sits in. This will keep the top of your soil dry and discourage gnats. Watch how much you water, if your water on Monday and there is a puddle of water in the bottom tray on Tuesday you'll have root rot problems. Also make sure you add pellets or rocks in the bottom of your plants so the roots don't sit in water. About an inch should be fine. A fan will keep air moving and strengthen the stalks and branches. Be patient! Hopefully some more experienced growers will take what I just suggested and tweak it to help you more.Wow thank you, this looks much better and within my budget. I've got about $1000 - $1500 NZ.
Gotta get my seeds out of that too.
How many plants could I get under that light btw?
Absolutely brilliant my friend, you have taught me so much in not too many words, but enough to make it clear, just what I needed.Honestly you can fit 6 in a tent that size, even more with experience, but from a quality standpoint I wouldn't go over 4.
