the lights on the soil are unneccessary, plants cant photosynthesize UNDER their leafs. Id move it up top or more so on the sides.

also watch the distance of your lights, they look a lil close..u dont wanna burn ur plant now do u? Id move them back an inch or two just to be safe. Dont forget they can stretch an inch or even two during the course of the day while they're flowering. wait until you see budsites, then try to focus your lights on those specific areas.

cant wait to see shots of the pistols!:peace:

also, whats ur humidity? Im assuming its relatively low bcuz ur temps are so high. If u raise ur humidity the temps will drop and the plant will start growing a lil faster..plus with temps exceeding 85*F you should be supplementing co2, how are u going about doing that? What type of nutes are u feeding her?

You should try to utilize the size of that pot and also control your stretching. Try some LST training or just use some paper clips to bend that down. Its amazing to see your nodes get longer then your main stem. They shoot up huge!

its nice to see another grower from az!
i know how hard it is with the temps... when my plants aren't being vented, it easily gets into the 90's in my grow room too...

to help cool the grow room down... always keep like 6 waterbotltle in the freezer, and place a couple in the grow room... once they melt replace with another couple... should help get it down below 90! also a fan blowing on the frozen bottles and to the plants would help circulate the cooler air... kinda like getto evaporative cooling =]

best of luck!

Thanks for all the comments guys. As for the LST, where should I bend it? The top node over like a 90 degree?

oh and it makes it easier for the bottom buds to fattan up at the same time instead of leaving them on to fatten up for another week after inicial harvest of main cola.

Take the top and bend it over 90 degrees and tie it to the side. Theres some good guides in the FAQ. When I LST all my node branches get almost as big as my main cola. I have a Snow White that the top is lower then the other nodes. They are going to be huge. Over time you can bend the pot "bush" into a half dome covering the entire top of the pot. Its amazing to see.

I like overkill! :) There is ~135w of CFL on her 24/7. She grows almost an inch a day and you can notably see the fan leaves fatten up everyday!

I am gonna start playing with LST tonight. I'll post an update then.

Cool, thanks! I'll post pictures tonight with what I come up with for a LST plan.

I sometimes mist the plant. Like once every 3 feedings.

This whole grow was very unplanned. I got a fem. seed from a buddy, bought some cheap CFL's and started the journey. This first grow is completely experimental. The 2nd I am going to be doing hydro and HID lighting.
Interesting to see what the cfls can do. Im seriously thinking about experimenting myself with cfls (youve got me going now lol), but only for veggin.

ill be watching. ;)

HPS is a High pressure Sodium bulb which is used for the Flowering stage of the grow. CFL's are compound floro lights which can be used for both flowering(red spectrum 2500-2700k) and Vegitation(blue spectrum 5500-6500k)
