Well I made my first ever homemade grow box. Its only for a single plant, its a cardboard box approx 2 1/12ft tall x 1 1/2ft x 1 1/2 ft. its prob bigger by 1/2 ft all way around but it was just a rough estimate.

I lined the entire inside with a Mylar blanket from a first aid kit.

I cut a hole and put a 120mm Computer case fan towards the bottom blowing air in the box.

I cut another hole towards the top of the box on another side and but a 90mm computer fan blowing air out of the box.

The fans are wired to get power through a cell phone charger and have a speed control knob.

I put two power strips one on each side of the box vertically.

I have 3 23w 6500k CFL's per strip

I have two more 23w 6500k CFL's hanging from the top of the box above the plant.

All the lights are on a digital timer that controls them turning on and off currently set at 18/6

Also there is a digital thermometer in the box, while the lights are running im average about 84 degrees F

using a 6 in wide pot

Soil is Scotts Premium potting soil w/ nutes, only 0.07, 0.01, 0.03

Miracle Grow Perlite at 0.04, 0.01, 0.06

Soil/perlite ratio is about 50/50

so total of 184 watts and 12,800 lumens. Got everything at home depot for less than $100

First grow im really doing completely on my own and indoor so feel free to let me know how im doing. *will post pics soon as I can*
