Hello all,
I have been growing my babies for some time now( about 3-4 months) There was one of the plants that my friend and I thought was a male. It was raised from a seed. I wAs told it was silver haze. Well this seedling began to grow huge after germination. At the time I did not know I would be growing. I actualy had four seedlings on my kitchen counter under a regular 15 watt flourescent light that was already conveniently mounted under my cabinets in the kitchen. So these babies stayed there for about two weeks. Then I started leaving them outside as I began to realize the need for light.
Now, as they began to flourish I gave them some cheep wal mart liquid fish emolsion. Then my buddy and I decided to go ahead and turn my bathroom outside in the garage into a grow room. You still with me? Ok so we got some kick ass organic soil blend from the hydro shop, and some nice pots, some of those stone things for drainage that you put in the bottom. I also got some fox farm nutes( grow big and big bloom for now...) I also got some pearlite and thats it.
So, I transplanted the babies and I also now had a 400 watt HPS and a 150 watt HPS lights. We mylared the room and put some fans in the rooom. Oh and then we bought some grand daddy purple clones. 12 to be exact. So now we are growing 16 plants.
Ok so then we noticed these two plants from seed looked way different and larger in their leaves. All of the plants were doing fine though, but these two, we thought perhaps might be male and we didnt want to risk the clones. So I , in my mind, began to disregard the two. I placed them outside, they got rained on, in adequate light cycle( which by the way, in the grow room they were on 18/6) So the damn two outside began to get HUGE. I mean tremendously huge. I tried to sell them to my pot head friends , but no one cared to be bothered.
So mean while all the plants are doing great. So we decide to sex the two outside just so we can learn and figure out whats up with these. Then we lost our first babie. One of the original four seedlings died. " thats all I have to say about that!" So we moved the three into a seperate grow coset and placed them under 12/12 cycle.
I then found this website and began to read , I also then got a a/c put into the room and started to get realy serious about growing. I got the whole line of faxfarm nutes and got some grow lights for around the room on the walls. Ok well the three got sexed and one was a male but the two that I was ready to sell and disregard, were FEMALE! w00t! So I moved them back in with the clones who started flowering cycle that day.
So the grow continued and I started to journal day by day and take pics as some of you may know from all my other posts. I test ph, soil ph, give them mollases, c02, adequate light , and superior temperature. I named each of them and they have these tags on them that say their names. So this one named Elisa( one of the original two) began to just bud up real nice , but she wa so much shorter than all the rest. But she was like on fat cola. I mean she is pretty.
Ok so we desided Elisa was going to be our first smoke. She was about two weeks ahead on flowering than the clones. I did some thinking and decided to write this to all of you for learning purposes and insight. I checked elisas trichomes and saw they finaly were clear to milky. So yesterday my pal and I decide it has 9 weeks flowering for her and the triches looked ready on top but some of her bottom didnt quite look ready. I have taken many pics . And want to share with all of you. So we decide to trim her all up. While she is still rooted. We clean up all her leaves and MAN, was she beautiful. So being the stoners we are , we smoked a joint of some stuff my dealer gave me. Pretty good weed, did the job to keep us high. So we got loaded and pondered...............what should we do.
So we decided to cut a huge portion of the top off( about 3/4 ounce weight wet) Now here is where we leave all convention and reality behind. Elisa was always a mystery to us. Why so big at first then so smal or bushy during flowering? Why did we almost get rid of her when we thought male? Why does she look so good now? And many other questions mesmerized us during this grow. Ok anywyas, so I decided to water cure. I read alot about it and decided there werent enough pics about this method, so I would do a pic journal for those who want to see.
Ok so we got that going and we also clipped about two grams for each of us to just let dry and then smoke. I know, I know, it wasnt the right way to cure but it was only 4 grams wet and I figured hey , it might taste like shit but the THC is still there( I saw it with a microscope,,,,,,,lol)
Well I have to say I am fucking HIGH! I woke up this morning and my head's high pallet was clear and fresh. Time to wake and bake and try elisa. The smoke was suprisingly smooth but had a chlorophil type of tase. But let me say the high is amazing. Very cerebal and kind of energetic. I havent been loaded like this in some time. I feel high got the munchies and all , but I dont feel anxious or lathargic( lazy) I am nice and loaded.
So i thought in the interest oflearning I would 1. show some pics and tell Elisas tale. 2. photo document the big bud I am water curing.
Here are the first pics. I will post all I can. I will start the water curing thread later today. Thanks to all of you here who have given me a voice, given me insight, and given me support. This website is awesome and I will probably stay here for ever,. lol you are stuck with me. Oh yeah twords the end there I got a new 4000 watt HPS so there are now two 4000 HPS and one 150 HPS . Abd I kept the bottom half of elisa growing! Yeah she is doing welll and gets 12/12 sun light! who knows what she will do next.
I also wanted to tell everyone to never give up. If anythingl, learn from your plants. Elisa has taught me alot. She has taught me patience. Not to judge a book be its cover. Respect. And she has taught me to be kind and giving like she has been. Man she realy got me high! lol
