Here's the second plant to come down

Atomic by bomb seeds

Smallest of the four I grew, def more indica leaning, very bushy and node packed .

Wet weight on stem is 370g
I think you're whicka whackin a bit too early. First time around so still very solid work, just hate to see you lose weight and potency on that fine grow.

If i may ask, what makes you say that? as you say, my first time, so im curious as to what your seeing in the pic

this one was covered in cloudy trics with alot of amber showing, from all reading and advice ive seen, it was a good chop?

This when to chop racket can be frustrating lol

Trichs are generally the last thing I look at, if I look at them at all. You can get 40-50% amber and still be a week away from chop. While that will get heavily debated here, the next part won't.

I go by pistils and calyx swelling. White pistils are no good. I don't know how to do the zoom the pic and circle thing, but you can see your calyxes needed more swell time.

If you squish them, quite airy?

Still looks like a very fine crop, so don't think I'm dissing or anything, just want you to get the yield you deserve.

Oh i didn't take it as a diss at all, more a teaching moment lol

You cant really squish them, they are very compact and hard, all you get is very sticky fingers lol

As a newbie grower its hard to really know what to listen to and what to go buy, i have gotten great help from members here along the way, most everything you read regarding harvest is trics trics trics lol

So i went by trics, and the trics were within the chop window for sure, i def think your right and if left longer could have finished up even better perhaps. Its all a learning experience thats for sure, i am always looking for ways others are doing things, keep adding to the knowledge , eventually i will just know what to do and when to do it lol

Nothing wrong with that.

First harvest is always the worst, not in terms of yield, but stress factor. Gets much easier as you go.

Now comes the next round of the waiting game, the dry and cure lol.

Ya no doubt, im battling low humidity this time of year(wood heat) so trying to do what i can to avoid drying too fast

Will be making oil out of this entire crop. Ill save all the biggest and best tops for showing off ofcourse lol

Yea, I burn wood too. 18% right now lol.

The smaller the area the better, with good circulation of course. I do a box in my tent. Releases the humidity slower from the box, then from the tent, then to the house.

I've done the oil and tincture. Magic butter machine 2.0? Always gotta save the big buds. Oil is nice, but that feeling of breaking buds... Lol.

Been a fun journey, glad to have 1 down, the other 3 are still finishing up.

Thanks to everyone who offered help/advice or encouragement, i very much appreciate it.
