This is my first time growing, I'm growing her indoors in my bedroom closet. I have an 18W CFL light, a small fan blowing low speed on it, I'm using MiracleGro Moisture Control Potting Mix (and yes I've heard the bad things about it but it's all I have at the moment) and I've been using a spray bottle with purified water to water it. Don't know if you can see the pictures of my plant and set up, it's only been about 4 or 5 days since planting, wondering if my plant looks healthy, if I'm doing everything right and what my next step should be?

Well first things first you need to get rid of that soil eventually it's gonna harm your plant maybe not during veg but probably during flowering another thing you need to do is add some perlite to that soil and don't put your fan blowing directly on your plants u want air blowing over it.... Also don't over water it let it dry out carry pot when dry lift it than water and check weight after than when u notice it's dry again water .. Good luck hope this helps

Happy growing

Thank you! Was a big help! I'll definitely be getting new soil ASAP. Any that you recommend? Also what is perlite and do you find it at regular stores like Walmart?

Look. I'm not going to sit here and tell you that you're wasting your time, but it really seems you've done what a lot of newbie growers do (I did the same) and that's putting the cart before the horse.

Growing out a plant in a stealth/micro environment can certainly be done but it takes a lot of time, effort, and preparation beforehand. You've already started your grow with subpar soil and lighting... and based off your pictures I don't see how you expect to flower a plant in that space. Have you thought about ventilation? odor? temperatures?

I compare it to trying to change a car tire with a crescent wrench. The odds are not in your favor.

The fact that you don't know what perlite is, nor took the time to google it, tells me that you have a lot of learning to do before you should consider attempting to grow.

Sorry if you feel I'm harsh, just trying to give you a little dose of reality.

I've researched the whole process for days before I stared growing, only reason I'm a bit confused is so many people say different things. Out of all the professional sites I've gone to and videos I've watched, other growers I've talked to I've never heard of perlites. My plant is doing pretty good so far and I've considered all of that. I have proper ventilation for her and odor won't be a problem. And I actually did google perlite as soon as I replied to that comment and have added it to my NEW soil. That closet space is just for right now I'll be moving it as it grows. As far as temperature I'm checking it all the time to make sure it's right. Just needed to ask a few questions but I know what I'm doing now. No offense taken though thanks for the help!
