First Grow

Hey everyone!

So.. I found these pictures..of this grow, from "some guy" on the internet..... Just wanted some opinions/thoughts/comments. This is his first grow, and it was from a few seeds found in various strains that he's kept over the past little while. No idea WHAT strains.....but so far, they're looking and smelling pretty good (from what I've heard). I think they're at about 1 month into flowering.



What do you guys think?

Looks like he is doing a good job so far lol. Umm...nice and healthy looking for sure. So you dont know if they are just bagseed or branded strains?

Right on. The seeds were just collected from various strains over the past year, I, I mean, he, just keeps whatever seeds he gets. The two plants are different, I know that much at least.

What's causing the ends of all of the leaves to turn yellow, lack of nutes? Time to go search the forum....but maybe someone will answer in the meantime.

Lack of Nitrogen seems to be the general consensus on tips yellowing. Any recommendations for nutes? Some rose flowering fertilizer was used with the soil this time, I believe it was 6-12-6, so I guess that wasn't the best stuff to use.

Well, things are looking good for the most part.
Don't worry about replies, 193 views, ppl are looking. And it seems like you answered your specific question about deficiencies on your own.

One thing, its hard to see your lights so close up. Can we get a few overview shots of your cab/room?

Ask and you shall receive! I think my lights are a little too far away...but the plants seem to be doing ok with the mylar blankets reflecting the light back.

I see, is there a cover or blanket you put over it when they're sleeping? Or is the room itself blacked out in the dark period? Just curious.

The room is blacked out during the 12 off. I just tied up the one on the left so it was closer to the lights too....maybe that'll help em get bigger faster.

No offence bro, as I am just leaning like you, but I reeeeealy don't want mine to be that lanky... But the buds look nice and I guess that's what counts on your first grow.

Mine are just babies, but look how close I got the lights. I know you cant see the plants at this angle but it gives you the idea:

Yeah mine stretched quite a bit, and I'm pretty sure I vegged them for too long....but I made do. It's all a learning process, but good eye. I cut a couple of the bottom buds off a few days ago and tried it out yesterday....it's going to be some excellent smoke.
