First grow

Hey,

I've started growing for the first time the other day, and I'm not sure if I'm doing everything right, so I thought I'd ask for a bit of advice.

I've got 4 plants in some cups I got from smoothies that I washed and sterilized, and 2 in pots that I got at the hardware store. All of this is in a 63L rubbermaid container, I didn't put any aluminum foil or white paint yet, but I'm planning on painting the inside with acryllic white paint.

I right now have 2x Cool White 4100K CFL's, attached by socket adapters to some extension cords running through the ceiling; I'm planning on going later today to buy some more socket adapters to hook up the other two CFL's like that, as well as two other Soft White 2700K CFL's so I can get some fuller spectrum on the plants.

My problem is that my thermometer reads 30°C, which is like 86° F, and I read that it should not go above something like 78°F. I don't know how big of a fan I should get, though!

Pics will be up soon :weed:

36 views and nobody has anything to say? :(

Anyways, it's been a couple of days now, and I've got two tall sprouts, a little sprout, and one just barely sprouting. I just lowered the lights to just above the plants, hopefully they'll stop.

I'm thinking about trying some LST, but I'm not sure.

you haven't really asked anything except how big of a fan you need? any size for now and as your girls get bigger than you will need to get bigger ones...or how about one than you can change to speed...multiple speed. Read as much as you can...Lst is pretty cool I have one that looks like a "S". you only need to Lst if you have a height issue. Not sure what else to add? Hope I was helpful.

I think I was misreading my thermometer, since I was looking at it at an angle and it has an analog display, so when I thought it was hovering just above 30 C it was really just below 30 C! So it's hovering around 82.4 F to 84.2 F, not that bad.

One of them has been growing awfully close to the bulb, despite me trying to keep them at least 2 inches apart!
