First Grow

I counted over 30 Bud Sites where buds are coming in! I did a lot of pruning early on, so it is short and bushy, which allowed for many main bud sites on top, and even ones underneath are there but smaller. I should get more CFLs for my lower buds! Loving my first grow already so far. I want big nugz:joint:

i'll get the 32W's cuz my other ones are weaker. the difference in lumens is huge from 23w cfl to 32w cfl. if I had those tiny ballasts i would get more powerful cfl's but they don't sell them anywhere locally that I know of. ballasts or bulbs...?where?

picked up another CFL today. it puts out 2000 lumens by itself, totalling 9375 lumens for 1 short bushy female budder. I now have 5 CFLs total. (1) 26W Daylight, (2) soft 23W, (1) 32W Soft White, and (1) 40W soft white. The soft white are more in the red range of light than the daylight bulb, and they are better for flowering. My buds are getting bigger, growing crystals on the leaves, smelling skunky but sweet, and are growing rapidly everyday. I can't wait to see what the new 40W bulb will do tomorrow after lighting a day, the lumens are a huge jump.

Bulbs:
(1) Feit Electric Compact Fluorescent Spiral ECO Bulb 40W equivalent 200W soft white (2600 Lumens)
(2) GE Helical 26W soft white (1600 Lumens x 2bulbs = 3200 lumens)
(1) Sylvania 23W Daylight 6000k (1425 Lumens)
(1) GE 32 W 2700k soft white (2150 Lumens)

9375 lumens. 1 plant. Flowering week 2. grow space 2x2x1!
Nutrients (liquid drops) added daily. NPK ratio of 10-15-10. Yum yum

by the way, the new 40W CFL was originally 17 dollars at meijer, on clearance for 2.70! I only had that much on me but will get another tomorrow I noticed they had 2 more!! yess I happen to have 1 ballast open too, waiting for it. Tomorrow I will get another 40, and not a beer!

Thanks you guys for your positive approach! i appreciate that. So i went to get another 40 watter today and they were out. shit. moved my lights today. posting photos tomorrow. the lights are now on the side walls, so my bulbs are facing horizontally. This gives the plant more bulb surface area and therefore more lumens are touching my leaves, and in return I get big skunky buds from Inexpensive lighting and nutrients. Love the smell and I hope they get massive. Can't wait to see what I wake up to tomorrow! Pics sometime soon!

Molasses, like can't you get that stuff at grocery stores? Is that what you're talking about? Does that create more resin oil glands? If you want to know my watts and all that, just flip back a page and it's all broken down right there. I'm about to post you guys some photos from today.

As you can see you don't need expensive High Pressure Sodium lights and hydroponic systems with tons of nutrients. If you read my posts you will see mostly I just used water and soil from outside with CFLs. didn't pick up nutrients until flowering and spent a whole 4 dollars for a bottle of 10-15-10 Shultz liquid drop plant food that mixes with water every feeding. The light bulbs I got over time on clearance for at most 4 dollars a bulb. I have 5 total.
