First Grow

No. You really needed more light. They are not done, you have weeks to go still. This grow has gone on forever....might as well ride it out another 3-4weeks. Did you end up moving the fan out of there?
I have not moved the fan out. Which one...both? I am definitely not in a rush to harvest them if there not ready.

u should wait at least 2 weeks...your getting new growth on top of buds. way too many yellow/green pistils.
you dont have enough red pistils, and they hav'nt receeded. your trichomes still mostly look clear around stalk.
your plants havnt shedded enough leaves, still have way too many green leaves (after most of your leaves yellow, the leaf tips will curl up, then your ready for harvest).
you'll be sorry. i was. i've smoked plenty of weed too soon and its garbage. your weed looks good. last picture is good, you can see the calyxs and the trichomes dotted around it. those trichomes still look mostly clear. those trichomes need to be mostly cloudywitrh

Thanks for the input. I will continue to keep doing what I’ve been doing. It has been a ridiculous slow grow but it good to hear that it’s in good shape and just needs more time.

You have a ways to go. Here’s a picture for reference so you have an idea of when the window for harvesting is open.
I’m going to have to disagree with that picture man neither of those are ready. They should be brown and receded then wait two more weeks. The buds will continue to swell and put on their weight after that point. did that picture come from grow weed easy by chance?

Well I think their just about ready to harvest. I’d like to due a final flush and any advise for a first time harvester would be appreciated. Thanks!
Flushing is for toilets. Don't flush soil, just let them keep finishing and don't worry. They will get done eventually.
As to tips for the harvest. - from what your stated rh is. I would cut the whole plant and hang it. Keep the leaves on it to slow the drying process. You want it to take around 2 weeks to dry at around 65 degrees or cooler with 60- 65% humidity. So I would also use a humidifier to slow things down.
Gong through this thread, it seems that you've been at this for ever so a little longer won't hurt, right? You have definitely learned how to be patient so far.
Good luck friend!

Its ok to disagree, you’re entitled to your opinion. Have no idea where it came from, and it was merely a reference, not set in stone.

Without a doubt my opinion is just that but it comes with a lot of experience to. I only suggested it as I seen your lemon sherbet and while it looks good I ca tell it could have gone longer.

You are absolutely right, it could have. But I don’t grow for myself, I grow for my wife. And while my experience probably doesn’t count for nothing, I’ve learned when to harvest based on her preference, not by the looks of the plant. 80% milk, 20% Amber is the sweet spot for her, any longer and she has a very unproductive day regardless of the strain. Lupus sucks, and I’ve mastered MY art of growing to combat this untreatable disease. Take everything I say with a grain of salt, because my reason for growing is obviously going to be different from someone else’s.

I get it my wives have lupus and the other has ms. I used to grow solely for them and veterans. Now I grow for people from all walks of life to help them while I may be commercial now I grower quality not quantity though after awhile they tend to go hand in hand.

I commend you for your efforts and what you do for the veterans and wives. Good to know you understand where I’m coming from.

Veterans i donate a portion of each harvest to a processor to make tincture, rso and whatever to give those that need it but unable to afford it their medicine for free. The girls I make creams and shit plus they smoke it to help with the pain and lesions on the brain and what have you.

Well I tried to take up close clear photos that you can zoom in to. Got a good amount of red/orange pistils and It looks like some of the trichomes are thickening. Should be anytime now.

I know it took way longer that it should have but I decided to harvest yesterday. It was starting to show signs of fox tailing so at this stage I figured to cut them down vs trying to correct it. I want to thank everyone that helped me with advice for my first grow. It yielded a lot more than I expected. Not bad for a noobie!

You chopped like a month early. Foxtailing won't ruin your harvest but chopping early will. Hopefully you won't repeat the same mistake next time. GL.

Well I do appreciate the feedback. We’ll see what happens. You certainly know a bit more than me but I did what I thought made sense. I would like to think next time will be better but I’m very happy so far. Hopefully I can dry and cure correctly to try and salvage it.
