first grow WHOOOOH

I'm planning on growing 4 seeds and have all the materials except the lights which i will be getting on thursday. 4-pack cfl. my question is the following: if i was to put the seeds in water tonight, assuming that they pop tomorrow, would i be able to put them in soil and not have light on it for that day. i.e leave it on the windowsill or have it under a lamp(cfl bulb)for the day of course.

It doesnt hurt them but it gains nothing too.

i looked at the seeds today and transported them to the paper towels and 3 have popped one hasn't although the shell has sliced open indicating possible signs. i really don't want to throw another seed in though.

none of the seeds had sank either but the tails were showing good growth. don't know if that matters at all
