Nice little box that but if your gona put that much effort into such a limited space why not scale it up a little?

If you put even a small hps in your plants a gona fill that space so quickly.

Like it tho mate, tidy little desin.

Some things have changed since I last posted. I changed the box around a little. Upgraded a few things, but worst of all my plants were horribly stressed a couple of times. Firstly, my electricity was cut off for a few days. So no lights, no growth. Also, no ventilation. Which caused grey mold to grow on my soil. When i found out there was mold, I freaked out and put peroxide on the soil, hoping it would kill it. It did, but it also made my plant look a little weird. I should have sprayed it instead of pouring it ...:-?

Anyways...
This is what the box currently looks like. I replaced the cardboard back with a wooden one and mounted my fans. I got a timer and set it to 18/6.

And I added this reflector...

So I threw away four seedlings and ended up with two. One slightly older than the other, which is a mutant might I add. Here is what they look like.

As you can see, the leave patterns are so weird on the small one. I believe one leaf has only two spreads...

So this is what the peroxide did to my plants... I flushed it immediately after I saw a change.

Some weird damage that was done to the plant when it was a seedling. Anyone care to diagnose? (sorry about the blurriness)

So, I spead the leaves apart and look at the stem. She's sprouting her 6th node, and I'm LSTing. When should I flower? Might I add that it's bagseed:-|. I beleive it's a female though. It's short and bushy? I guess we'll see....

1. next time your lights go off spray your plants with PHed water and diluted fertilizer (20% should work). do it both for feeding so that the plant would recover quicker, and to clean it up.
2. your reflector is bad. your milar is bent in a way that lights spreads AWAY. you should glue it flat to the wood.
3. go easy on your girls for a week or so. don't give too much nutes or water too much as they can't take it up as well when they are stressed.
4. if you go LST you should flower when the horizontical space is out. however, I hate flowering sick girls. I would wait up until they recover and then consider flowering.
5.Its ain't that bad. I had much worse plant that finished flowering and gave a decent smoke.

Thanks for your tips. I'll keep a note of all this. Where can i get a budget PH tester?
Aside the mylar not being fully attached to the reflector, is it decent?

i see you have super dry soil there but the plants still look overwatered....a pretty sure sign of over watering is twisting of the leafs. if your leafs are twisting they are being stressed somehow

Oh yeah. That's another thing. I water them more than I probably should, but the soil is just SO dry! How can I keep my soil moist for a couple of days? The humidity is like 50%, so its not super low. Is there an ingredient I can put in the soil or something? Can I water i a tiny bit every day?

eBay, like this one:

I got one and its not as waterproof as they clame, but they do replace it if damage during warranty time :P
The electrode wears out in about a year, so think of buying the extra one.

It could dry out for 3 reasons:
1. heat. if its hot - it dries quicker.
2. too much air flow - it will dry mainly at the top, but sure much quicker.
3. plant is rootbound and no water can hold. the water that can quickly absorved by the plant.

Watering more than once every 4 days with soil is too much to my likings.

I would re-pot the plant into a bigger container.
Don't wait too much with that, as moving a flowering plant into a larger pot promotes root growth, and thats some energy that doesn't go to flowering.

Have a great day.

Just an update on my plants. It's been a while since... Bad news. I think it's a male. I have a few pics of the preflowers to let you guys decide. There may have been a slight quality hinder due to tinypic.

pic 1: The whole plant
pic 2: Stem; preflower?
pic 3: Stem; preflower?
pic 4: Node; Preflower?

Looks like a male but not certain yet.
some strains grow balls like thoes but pop hairs out of them.
if it form a cluster of balls - its a male.
if there are 2 hairs popping out of the pod - its a female.
