hi everyone this is my first grow ever. so far i have basic understanding of everything and im feeling kinda confident. but if anyone could point me in the right direction that would be awesome! :P

heres what i got

i have about a 4x4 closet or so that i am using as my grow area.
1.jpg
two 400w T5 florescent grow & aquarium lights. and one 26w florescent light (im not sure if this will bend my plants please let me know if this is chill!)
photo 1.JPG Gardner & Bloome Soil : Valley of Eden blend in 1.5 gallon pots
( kapok seed meal, seabird guano, and sardine meal
High coconut coir and Crab chitin.)
G&B-Bag-Eden-Valley-Blend-Potting-Soil.jpg
and this reflective material i bought at home depot. its called insulfoam.(i dont know what the best thing to use for my veg box/ area is any tips would be greatly appreciated)
i was really nervous when i bought nutes for the plant cause i didnt look into it properly before going out.
i bought some Dr.Earths Nitro Big.
(again i dont know if these kinda things are the way to go ive read some mixed things so please point me in the right direction)

i bought 2 clones from a local dispensary. one Dutch Treat the guy said was from the mother plant of the buds they had on sale in shop.photo.JPG and heres the other clone a local indica strain grape ape.
photo 1 (2).JPG

Day 1 -i bought the dutch treat clone on June 22nd the guy in the dispensary said that it was about 3 weeks old it was about 10" tall.

Day 2- i was super cautious to water the plant after reading about over and under watering and PH and PPM. ( plus my soil was pretty moist already) i gave it little bit of water not to much 2 0z of water or less i gave this water i mized with the dr.earth nitro big. i followed the directions and put the suggested nute to water ratio. (i also read about hurting your plant from too much nutes as well so im really nervous)

its now day 6- since ive had the dutch treat clone it seems to bee doing great as to what i can tell. i need to buy a Ph meter from a local store as soon as possible because i have no idea what it is as of now and i feel like im gambling right now lol.

originally i had one of those intake & exhaust window fans in the closet but now i have another oscillating fan in there as well.photo 5.JPG

there almost seems to be a weird colors on my leafs i may believe to be early signs of white powdery mildew. (im not sure on this guys but im nervous) i dont know if its from spraying the plants to much with water or not enough ventilation or what.
grape ape day 6 of week 4photo 3.JPGdutch treat :P day 6 of week 4
photo 2.JPG
im a newb but im willing to do what it takes to make this go smothly.
please let me know if im forgetting anything or doing something wrong i would greatly appreciate the advice it is crucial:peace:

yeaht thats what i was thinking too. any recommendations?
i saw some of the ducting tube and air filter systems at my local hydroponic store. but im not sure how it all comes together
The thing is you need an environment that can be mostly sealed, right now you are in an 'open air' closet.

A tent, room, or closet will be necessary to have a truly odor free growing area.

If you have never smelled a cannabis plant deep in flower be prepared for some distinct and STRONG smells. The distinct odor alerts future rippers to your cultivation site. Do not think you can 'get away' without odor control. People want cannabis, they will some terrible things to get at it sometimes.

Odor control is typically handled by using a carbon filter, drawing room air through it with an inline fan and exhausting it.

I am not sure how this can be accomplished in an open room, we cannot generate negative air pressure without installing an unnecessarily massive fan. Not smart route.

Scrubbing the room with a free running scrubber will not be adequate enough if someone uses that room and doesn't want cannabis smell on their clothing 24/7.

My suggestions are not inexpensive unfortunately. I only use carbon filters for my odor control. I have tested those other methods and found them to be far inferior to carbon scrubbing.

I didn't mean to give you a 'loaded' answer, there are other methods of odor control. Unfortunately I do not know enough about them!

I just haven't found a good alternative to carbon filtering that is as reliable and effective.

FYI readers: I find ozone too much of a hazard. Ona is expensive and stinky.

I cringe when ppl say they spray their plants....their is no reason to mist your plants with water unless you have alot of build up of insecticides. It creates too much humidity and youre just asking for mold problems. Get some miticides to have on hand and start using them on a schedule. INdoor grow or not. If you think you have powder mold, spray the plant with 100/1 peroxide and water. Its safe and kills mold on contact. You can spray the medium as well. Get a scope and scope plants once a week. Also, I dont see how that fan could work slammed up against the wall.

oh wow really? i had no idea i had read that it was to strengthen your plant but that makes alot of sense i guess. thats what the fans help with as well is to keep the plants strong. but ill re-locate the intake/exhaust fan to a more practical area. if theres anything else you noticed i should be doing i would appreciate it. also when do you reccomend putting them into flowering?

I would clone them and shorten them up , you have alot of space between nodes (lanky) Or flower them soon because not working with alot of space and they will grow quite a bit during flower because the nutes/soluables you will be giving them? Easy on the feeding you have a buncha crap in that soil you got.

(Smell) ona positioned outside grow area with exaust blowing on it.im 3weeks in flower and works well so far.only drawback is increased wear on the ona or wolfman Zens homemade DIY Carbon filter also works for me.
