First Grow (Stealth!)

I am starting my first grow operation in the coming weeks. I am planning on ordering everything at the start of next week, and hopefully start with two weeks of then(whenever the seeds come). I am planning on two plants, maybe using Northern Lights from nirvana. I was wondering what everyone's opinions are on the space, and what I should do to maximize yield, etc. Should I paint the walls inside white? Should I be concerned with light leaks(I see those two holes, they both will be fully covered so I mean crack light leaks).

I am thinking 4 x http://www.1000bulbs.com/product/53632/FC23-FEIIS23W64.html = $10.24

4 x http://www.1000bulbs.com/product/40/FC23-27KSPRING.html = $10.28

1 x http://www.plantlightinghydroponics.com/ona-block-fresh-linen-scent-oz-p-2683.html = $6.90

1 x http://www.lightingdirect.com/maxim-990015pb-four-light-bathroom-fixture-from-the-maxim-collection/p860557 = $3.65

1 x http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835168006&cm_re=pc_fans-_-35-168-006-_-Product (Think this will be enough?) = $3.99

= $35.02 + Seeds ($36.57) + Soil ($10-$15) = $86.59

Are there any suggestions anyone can give me? I am really trying to put a lot of thought into this, and I want it to be as discreet as possible. Are these lights enough for two plants that will be grown using LST methods? Will the fan + odor control be enough for two plants? Am I good on lighting? Anything else would be MORE than helpful to me, I'd love to hear thoughts and opinions etc.

Don't forget an active carbon filter / exhaust fan to help with smell. There's also sprays you could buy, but you'd be spending a lot spraying it every day

I dont know if the fan of your choice is an effective size or not... But I want to remind you that a PC fan is rated at 12v DC, so you will need a regular and reliable source of 12v DC power for it. Or a different fan? That would be my bet... Not sure if that odor block will get rid of, rather than mask the smell. Active carbon gets rid of or absorbs the smell, more odor just masks smell. Hope that helps.

not all pc fans are rated at 12vdc most that aren't are variable speed fans, which is something you want to stay away from imo, usually cost more plus not really needed..

I run 3 x 92mm 42cfm PC case fans for exhaust in my PC case grow..

To hook up all my fans I bought an evercell or something like that 12V AC to 12V DC 1.5amp adapter for like 25 bucks at Radioshack.

You can also use cell phone charges and what not you just have to make sure they have the voltage and amps to run your fan..

Well, I guess you've got a point there, MoNk0. The Fan warxhead linked is a DC fan though. And I'm hoping he tends to do a PC grow, like yours monko, if he plans to use it. Otherwise, he may just as well get a cheap desk fan.

BTW - Excellent job with the CFL Fixture. I think I'll be adapting it to fit my needs, out side of the PC case.....some day.

Yeah even if he doesn't do a pc grow, PC case fans are still nice and cheap.. I will be buying these case fans for my next grow http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811999613&cm_re=vantec_92mm-_-11-999-613-_-Product roughly 13 USD and around 119 CFM per fan.. If I use the same pc case I will retrofit with 3 of them. Only thing is with those fans I'll have to buy a bigger amp adapter as there roughly .78 amp per fan (can't even wire 2 to the adapter I have now as its only a 1.5 amp adapter.. But point is no matter what your grow is in, if its a small micro stealth grow your best exhaust fans will come from PC fans, as they are cheap with high cfm and for the most part quite..

Thanks, yeah the fixture will work with anything really just a little modification and bam working in something else :)..

Edit..
BTW here is the link for the adapter from radioshack that I bought and its enercell not evercell lol
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3807944&retainProdsInSession=1
And for the fans I linked this is the adapter I will buy to run them
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3875404&retainProdsInSession=1

for these all you do is cut the end off and on mine the wire with the grey bar is + blank was -
