Moving right along! That one cola is so long, should fill in nicely over the next few weeks, nice job! What does the sugar do? I've heard people talk about molasses and sugar... but what does it do for the plant?Well, what a difference a week makes, and a few tbl spoons of sugar, were well on our way

I dont know yet. Mine are small, I went from seed to flip in 4 weeks... but they all turned out to be female anyway (i'm guessing from a hermied plant). I tend to prefer sativas.. i hear that indica can yield more but I can't give up those long fat buds for short fatter buds. I just started some 'temple kush' from a new breeder.... so I guess i'll be giving Indicas a real try soon. Strain reports put sour diesel in the mid to high yield range. It also says that its a 12 week flowering strain... I doubt they'll go 12 weeks, maybe 10 based on how fast things are moving now... I can't imagine them going another 8 weeks. Guess we'll know for sure in a couple months! Maybe I have a faster finishing pheno or its really a sour D cross.... or ... maybe they are just going to be monsters.

That sounds about right. Mine, if I hadn't super cropped, would be right about at that 120cm. and my space is about 1/2 m2 .. my guess was around 6-8 ounces based on what they look like now (never can really tell).... so I'd say that 500gm M2 is right along with what I'm seeing. I'm inclined to agree with that 8-9 weeks flowering time rather than the 10-12 I heard.

I'm not flowering any of my SD indoors at the moment, but its going in next, along with a White Widow/Sour Diesel cross. They are matched on size, time, and yield according to the spec sheet. Its going to be interesting working out which 2 strains work best together in the cabinet.
The three males have all dropped pollen on the collectors and are ready to be harvested and killed.. I will try to get a picture of the mature pods. they were gorgeous.

@GrowPops -I am sort of like you in that though I am returning to a very old passion of mine -specifically good bud, I am different in that I don't have prior experience growing. Now that I am much older and have the resources, I am ready to start a personal grow! I'll be watching your progress. Thanks for posting!

I have found that the years have given me more patience and persistence than I had in my youth. Its coming in handy. LOL. Now I will research the same question more before making adjustments to my setup.
And having the better resources, you bet!!! I don't have a fortune to put into this and it would take some of the fun out of it if I did. I am a bit of a red neck at my core and recycle/reuse/repurpose is a way of life here. With that being said, I did purchase new lights and appropriate exhaust to run a full 600 watts in a 2'x4'x5" cabinet with a 7 deg temp difference between ambient room and cabinet. The air scrubber and noise muffler are home built and I would like to kid myself that they are as good as I could buy, and the parts (minus carbon) were all in the garage.

It was fun and exciting for me when I went through this process. I was gifted four seeds and I planted them outside in Southern California in August. Two sprouted and I had to separate them when they got about a foot tall. I had them in a tub of organic vegetable soil and I only fed them once with MiracleGrow tomato fertilizer. The transplanted baby almost died and then exploded with growth. It was three times as big as the other one. I was amazed when I saw what looked like powdered sugar all over the flowers and flower leaves. I ended up getting budworm/caterpillars really bad. Lost half of my flowers. I found RIU and I have never looked back.

Back in the 80's I was In the Silicon Valley! I found a seed in a small bud of some purple bud a friend of a friend supposedly got from a guy that got it from the government. I had it in a clear culligan container in dirt I dug from behind the shed in the dog pen. I would move it out of the shed (giant dog house) in the morning and then put it back inside before the neighbor kids got home and snooped around. It spent at least half its life getting light through the open door while sitting on the back wall. That plant would look miserable one week and would simply explode the next. basically being neglected. the buds got deep purple and frosty as hell. in spite of almost all the water leaves dying. (I now know the plant was simply using them) Just before harvest almost half the plant came up missing, unceremoniously ripped off the plant I might add. Come to find out my shepherd had decided it smelled too good to resist and decided to help himself. I got just under 3 bags and figured he ate two. He never stayed in the room with us smoking again....... and before he was known for begging hits.
I had to have my Boerboel neutered sometime back to quell aggression issues against other dogs (it seems to have worked) but he was obviously uncomfortable pacing and whining so I gave him a small bit of Cannabutter with his dinner. HUGE MISTAKE !!
Imagine a very solid 150+ dog suddenly jump up at random and start tearing around the house knocking shit over (people included).
That was the last time he got any of dad's goodies.
