Anything I type is from my own personal experience. Im 64 yrs old, have been involved with outdoor grows, sales and now indoor grows since 1972.

I don't comment on Mars Hydro lights, never had them......I do comment on CMH lights, Timber Cob lights and HLG Quantum boards because I HAVE THEM. Most on RIU comment on things they do not own or have experienced themselves.

Plant far left was flushed and had feeds stopped 2 weeks prior to harvest. Other plants got fed right to final week. I have zero differene in the smoke tastes of all the plants. Taste and smell comes in the cure.3g.jpg

People used to flush a lot and still do until people started realizing they were getting the same results without flushing too. All it really does is pulls nutrients from the leaves and makes your plant look like shit at harvest.
look...I hardly flush at all ... I flush for three days... back years ago ( im 47) i would flush for nearly 2 weeks , only because i thought I was doing the right thing.. I once done an experiment and only flushed for 3 days and noticed how much more potent the smoke was and the quality of the bud was better...been doing it ever since ...
I notice if you dont flush at all the smoke is very harsh ... just a few days of water cleans out some chemical from the plant

yes, i have seen this .. and its prolly right.. when you have smoked 10,000 cones your prolly not going to notice the difference :P .. My point is.. that one of the posters was flushing for two weeks... and i said its not necessary
Yea I think it all just comes down to personal preference. The only thing flushing does is cuts back on the nute bill just a little.

Flushing, imo, depends on JUST HOW MANY NUTES you have fed in flowering stage. If you used the recommended dosage Id flush for sure, a week.

If u used 1/2 the rec. dose you don't need to.

What if it's all organic ? Seems like it takes me a little longer getting it all out . And I feed lightly ,meaning not much run off

I did read that test several months ago.
Although I also think that flushing is useless, I think the test they did, does not prove that.
To prove it (if that could even be possible) the test should have been done on a wider scale.
More plants, different brands of nutes, different strains for example, different ways of curing, etc.

i think to really know in your own grow if flushing makes sense, you should do several grows with and several grows without flushing.
Cure it like you normally would.
Then give several of your buddies a sample.
Don't tell them what they did get, otherwise they will be prejudiced.
If the result is really clear, then you have an answer.
The larger the group of friends, and the more often you do the test, the better.

People who say that they can 100% taste if cannabis was flushed or not, don't know how the human brain works.
It can be tricked very easily.
