First grow questions lighting

First post Been reading alot about everything on the forums.

thinking about starting a attic grow, 5x5 tent.

Ventilation is not the problem, i have that covered. My only concern is lighting, I would love to due led (electricity cost 0.35/ kwh here ) but im not sure if its worth it trying to cover a 5x5 area with leds.. If not leds then id go for 1000w hps, but then during the summer id have huge temp issues..

Winter is coming quick here, and with leds id have to use an heater, but with the 1000w no heater should be needed. Downsides to hps would be electic bill would be high.

Goal would be 7/8 plants indica.

Just looking on some advice if you guys think led or hps in my situation.

Go for the HPS..

If you have problems with heat what figures are we talking and what medium are you using?

I was thinking the same thing hps in winter, and led in summer. Was going to use hempy bucks with coco. and canna nutes. Just worried about electric bill..be around 350 a month with hps..

If leds, then 2 area 51 the new ones

Why not make a 4x4 space with a 600w and save on the bill... I only use 600w's and im happy with my bill and outcome..

I think my trees looks good under my 600w

As long as you never turn the lights out. Or until the power goes out a few hours. Then your forked.

what kind of yield are you getting Eurohigh?

Close to 1gpw... little under.. But i think my current grow will get really close.. But you never know before you got it dryid and cured..

the electric bill would just kill me with a 1000, and with a 4x4 im afraid i wont get the yield im aiming for

Well Thats always the dilemma.. I think eletricity is expensive where i am.. But i think the yield watt wise is good.. If i had to go buy the same amount im gonna be yielding im gonna pay a hell of a lot more.. Thats for sure...

Would 2 area51 leds? the new 2014 ones be enough to cover a 5x5 area ?
