First Grow/ Post (Denser buds?)

Hello everyone, this is my first grow of a clone I got of some NYPD. I've been doing a small one light closet grow. At this point1451514449944-25176472.jpg 1451514542488-969877668.jpg 1451514602215-1474255226.jpg the plant has been on its bloom light cycle for about a month, and I've been giving it a fair amount of nutrients. I'm really just hoping to get some feedback on how my plants buds look, and I'm also hoping for some advice on how to make them bigger/denser.

If this is your first grow, then I suggest you forget about making them denser or bigger. Just concentrate on the basics (which aren't so basic) of trying to get to the finish line with dried and cured bud that will actually get you high. That's challenging enough for most newbies (it was for me).

Get the basics down, and then go for more advanced methods of growing to maximize yields.

Go to Walmart and get a box or two of CFLs. Get some. splitters and couple drop light cords. You want at least 100-150 actual watts.
Can you elaborate on the splitters and light chords? I've never used splitters before. Would I be putting the CFL bulbs in the light chords and then hanging them around my current light?

Something lime this. With just 4 bulbs. So screw two splitters into one for 4 bulbs.

Get CFL bulbs that have 2700k not the "daylight " bulbs that shine in the 6500k. They're much brighter, the flower spectrum is dull and orange looking. They don't have to all be but most. Post em close and adjust daily and add more to fill in shadows. You're batting a 1000 for your first grow

I use t5 and run a 50/50 mix of bulbs. Personally plants look better with more spectrum to me.

Its only $9 for 4 of the 23 watt ones at walk mart. Hell get two boxes and on your next grow run all 8 with the bulb you have now.

Veg for two months. Top o a couple times or scrog it. You would be surprised at what you will get.
