thanks boys will do. will have some pics up in a few days in the new mixture, and stuff. I think i'm going to have to keep them in the 4 foot lights though for economic reasons. I will bring them within an inch though. I'm going to put them in a 8 inch pot to start for the soilless mixture. Then I will put them in the 3 gallon pot with FFOF in a few weeks. Thanks boys and any further advice would be appreciated. I appreciate the guidance with the grow. Hopefully they will produce great results.
4" floros are fine. I used to grow 5' plants under 'em. They are cooler and have better light distribution than a CFL.

As another poster said wait until they're working on thier 5th set of leaves before they go under the big lights

Here's a transplanting tip: Wait until the peat pellets dry out, before transplanting, and then after planting give them a thorough watering. Then don't water again, until the top 2" of soil is bone dry.

Nice turn around here GL

I would transplant them right now. I start all my babies in one gal pots. It promotes faster root development when you have them in a larger growing medium. But not too big. Thats why I say a one gallon. When the soil is moist below the root system the roots stretch out to get at it. Bigger roots = bigger plant. But that is just my opinion, backed by a little scientific evidence of course. And get some h2o2 if you are not using organics. But since I see you plan on using ffof then I wouldn't recommend it. But if not it is a great way to get some extra o2 to your babies roots systems. And as far as your 1000mh is concerned. I would have to agree with the other posters. Wait until your plant reaches its 3-4th leaf set then put the 1000 18 inches away from the canopy. And don't use any nutes until then. MJ plants don't even need that much nutes in the beginning because they barely have enough roots or bio-mass to uptake them, thus burning the little guys is really easy. Anywho happy growing yall! okay so I've been reading your ideas and opinions and a lot of people seem to be telling me to let the moss dry out then transport into a soilless medium. I have two prepared. I have a vermiculite and perlite 70% to 30% mix and I also have a FFOF vermiculite perlite mix 60% 20% 10% respectively. I was thinking about transplanting the girls into a 10cm bigger pot and watering them heavily into the soilless medium today. Then I was thinking about transplanting them into the 3 gallon pot with the FFOF Verm and Perm on day 14. Also on day 14 I was thinking about hitting them with the 18/6 MH 1000 Watt. Today I also started my mini fan for a few hours so they can get some stronger stems. I'm keeping the 4 foot floors on them 24/7 and they are within an inch of the lights. The leaves seem to be getting bigger and the moss seems to be getting dry. I really appreciate all the feedback and its like you guys are by my side along this grow and its wonderful. In order to thank you I plan on updating my status with pics and details everyday to keep you guys entertained. Thank you very much and continue with the help and experiences.
Temp and Humidity today was 79/53

okay so I took the advice, let the moss dry out and then transplanted them into a 60/40 vermiculite perm soilless mixture. Once they were in the pots I gave them a thorough watering. Now they are back within 1 inch of the lights and I'm scared as heck because this was my first time transplanting my babies and I don't know how they are going to react. I left the fan off for now so they can focus on adjusting and growing big leaves. Please let me know what you guys think and if I did anything wrong.

Nice save

Dont worry about the speed of growth, they can be amazing when they have growth spurts and suddenly shoot up.

muahahahahahh. Nice little grow. With a soil like medium and flouros the growth is less rapid. Who needs to be in a hurry anyway.

okay so one of my babies has past away kinda...she was dead but like i misted her and her two main leaves came back to life but the other leaves are still dead. I dont know what to do with her or what was her cause of death so if anyone can help me.
What I do know is that was the first time I had the fan on for over 3 hours and the humidity in the room went from 60 to 42 in like 24 hours. Once I saw this I misted the babies because having a 42 humidity is clear signs of lack of water in the grow room. When I checked on my babies the humidity was back up to 60. But today it went down to 50 and the babies look kind of sad and not as green as I like them to be. The leaves are getting bigger and the 2nd and 3rd leaf sets are growing in. Okay guys help me out lets get these girls happy again. I think later this week they will be ready for 1000watt MH FFOF/Perl/Verm
