First grow pics

PLEASE PLEASE SOMEONE HELP..I PLANTED 10 SEEDS AFTER GERMINATING THEM FIRST IN COTTON WOOL..ABOUT 6 DAYS AGO..I AM GROWING THEM IN MY CLOSET BY THE WAY..TRANSFERRED THEM ALL TO POTS AND NOW THEY SEEM TO BE GROWING WELL BUT THE STEMS SEEM ABIT STRECHED AND WEEAK AND SOME OF THE SEEDLINGS ARE ARE STARTING TO BEND ABIT DUE TO THE WEAKNESS OF THE STEM..I AM USING A 150 HALOGEN BULB ABOUT INCHES AWAY FROM THE SEEDLINGS, HOWEVER I DONT HAVE A FAN..COULD THIS BE THE PROBLEM..THE SEEDLINGS ARE ABOUT 3 INCHES IN HEIGHT..ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE AS THIS IS MY FIRST EVER GROW..thank you

Hi there in my time of gardening i would say either your light is too far away from the plants or as said you need a fan imagine this plants that grow in your garden outside have sunlight which is very brite and wind to stiffen them up so yeh get yours self a fan all i am using for my plants is an old fan off a computer power supply and it works great ..

hey man..thanks for the quick reply..i bought a mini fan today and have jus set it up near the seedlings..not too power tho so it doesnt destroy them..also i wana ask about the type of lighting..i have been using a halogen bulb since germination however i bought a fluorecent bulb today instead but was wondering how far up do i need to set it up..like how many inches away from the seedlings..i have one flurocent bulb which is an 18 watt bulb..not sure how much it actually emits tho..is this one bulb enough..plus wen watering how many times should i water per day..i have got them in quite a cool and shaded spot i.e my closet..any advice would be much appreciated..thank you

p.s i will try and get sum pics over nxt few days and post them on here so u can see the setup..its a very basic one

well they are now at 11 inch tall growing well
everyday i look they are looking healthier

KETAMINCLIVE, halogen bulbs aren't good for growing plants at all, so smart move getting those fluoro's.

the halogen is just for seedling stage i have 2 60cm flouro fittings now with 18watt bulbs will these do do u rekon? if not is a normal incandesant bulb better?

can u suggest some other budget lighting options?

have had good growth thought, about 3 inches in 4 days

DAY 1 Flowering
As of this morning changed there lighting to 12 on 12 off

been thinking of my next grow a slightly bigger growing space will be extended to 10x6 foot so should be able to grow my plants upto 6 foot tall

and a bigger crop

halogen? switch to the fluoros asap, after you get them setup, put them 1-2'' away from the plants, if your stems are weak, prop them up with something, then put a small fan hitting your plants(make em sway) and try to hit the lights, with the fan (shouldn't be hard if your lights are the right distance away.) Don't give them any nutes yet, or your first grow will be over, or its effiency atleast. wait about 3-4 weeks for nutes, try not to use miracle grow. And lastly, Save up for a MH or HPS Bulb, and everynight dedicate 20 minutes to reading the FAQ's.

congrats. yeh they are supposed to get 3 times bigger hehe, i think making your space bigger is a good idea, have you been doing any training to them?

yeh ive been testing a few methods with them and the fan has been on 24/7 they are nice and stiff now plus this is only a test grow as my next grow i will have at least 15 plants on the go

and i didnt have enough lighting to start off with so they didnt grow as well as i wanted but after everyone telling me MORE LIGHTS i finally put a larger light in there then they really started growing properly

1 question whats a rough time i will need to flower for b4 they are ready ?
