First Grow Outdoors

Not sure if this goes here since I want to start indoors.

This will be my first grow and would like to try growing from indoors to outside. I have 5 auto purple kush seeds, 24x24x60 tent, and a 400w MH light kit. Are there any good guides for as first timer?

If this would not be recommended well, that would be good to know to.

this here forum is your guide. all the info you need to get started start by reading some of the sticky threads or get yourself a decent book. I like the big grow guide that Jorge Cervantes (spl?) has sold for many years, revised a lot. the grow bible or some such name has a lot of good info and lots of helpful pics. sorry I don't know the name for certain I loaned mine and it never came back. it's worth the $25 or $30 tops it would cost you just for a quick grow room or backpack reference.

your tent and 400mh bulb will work well to give plants a head start. you will need an exhaust fan to get rid of stale air inside and n oscillating fan to keep the air circulating around he plants.

for more detailed questions don't generalize so much and more persons here will answer. have fun with your outdoor season

Could I just leave the tent open or not use it it all? Just lights. I assume smell will not be an issue until 2-3 weeks by then I will move them outside.

- Germinate using cup and paper towel method.

- Place seed in party cup with soil

- When sturdy transfer to bigger pot to veg and flower

That is what I planned but, since they are autos would it be different? Should I just put them in 3-5 gallon pots after germinated?

for the tent you can certainly leave the door open you will still benefit from having a small oscillating fan circulating the air around them. this will not only make them stronger for the outdoors but also give them the fresh air they need. plants need circulating air to live well and be healthy.

yea smell will be nothing when that young just the fresh vegetation smell faintly ganja ish.

I'm realy not the guy to answer auto questions but i have heard people say to get good yields pot them big from the start. and since you have extra space why not pot them in bigger than a party cup. i would go with the biggest you have the space for from the start a gallon or bigger. party cups will work but only for a short time but since you have the space pot them bigger from the beginning.
