I'm starting my first grow in 2 weeks and i have been reading an hour a day on how to grow. My plan is to grow 1 plant in my closet. I ordered 3 auto flowering seeds called Green-O-Matics. they are supposed to be done in 60days Here is the breakdown

  • fox farms ocean forest 12 quart $19
  • Veg stage nutes Dyna-Gro Gro 8oz $10
  • Flower stage nutes Dyna-gro Bloom 8oz $8

I plan to not transplant at all. I'm using a 3 gallon pot. I will put one seed in a glass of water for 12 hours. then i will plant it in the soil a half inch down with the pointy tip facing down. The soil will be moist when the seed goes in and i will lift the plant to tell when the soil is moist. if it feels light i will water. I plan to not feed any nutes for the first 2 weeks. Then i plan to give Dyna-Gro Gro every other watering for 2 weeks 1/4 strength and then Dyna-Gro Bloom 1/4 strength every other watering for 3 weeks. By that time i will be 49 days in. I plan to then only give water for the remaining life of the plant as a flushing period.I am using distilled water. Now for lighting

  • 4 pack of 23w Cfls soft white 2700k 1600lumins $8
  • Amico Flexable light extension 60 cm $8
  • 8.5 inch clamp reflector $9
  • 4 socket adapter $8

I plan to set up the bulbs about 10 cm away from the top of the plant at all times.I will use a 24/0 light cycle. I will screw this into this and then screw both those into that . I will then have 4 working bulbs with an overall of 92 watts, 6400 lumins.
10800k.
To get rid of the smell i have

  • Fabreze free air freshner spray 27 oz $5
  • Damp rid odor genie odor eliminator $4
  • Fresh wave crystal gel 8oz $6

i plan to put the freshwave in the closet with the plant after the plant is 30 days old because the gel only lasts 30 days. I will spray the fabreze whenever and i will open the damp rid and keep it next to the door of my room for the duration of the grow. Miscelaneous

  • 4 pack of mylar emergency blankets $4
  • Ph soil test kit $6
  • A tiny fan had it already

I will use the blankets to line the walls, i will test ph with the strips and i will run the fan 24/7 aiming at the top of the plant and the lights.

Is there anything i left out or am i doing anything wrong?

Project total $95

Welcome to RIU, looks like you have done some research. I do not think that is enough light, you will need to at least double the lumens IMO. If you use more cfls to get there I would add them into two additional fixtures so you can get them closer. I would also keep the lights closer than 10cm.
Add some perlite to your soil and possibly some dolomite lime.

hell im cheap as fuck my set up is a 20 dollar setup xD man u got some good gear i think u will do well after germinating seeds plant 1 inch under soil (make sure u pack soil tight not to tight bcuz i packed loose and my plants fell over 1st week)and put ur lights 2 inches away from the plant when it sprouts(dont be afraid if the plant grows into the light just readjust trust me u dont want ur plants growing 4 feet tall) *(unless u want tall plants but i prefer small short bushy) i made a bad mistake lost 4 plants bcuz i buried seeds to deep and over waterd dont water like crazy man and dont feed nuts until 3 or 4 week ok, if u know this already im just trying to help, and btw i recomend getting a fan for good growth put on low and keep upping the fan speed until u know ur plants comfort zone, thats the basics my friend alot about growing weed but shit i keep it simple hopefully these small basic tips helped cuz if i would have known these simple tips i would have 7 plants insted of only 2 :'( nd one more thing when u switch plants to a new pot BE VERY careful dont pull the plant out of the soil get a spoon and kinda ya know dig it up out of there i pulled nad fucked my best plants roots up casuing stress

I just want to give you a heads-up when using FoxFarm soil, no nutes for the first few weeks. The soil has a lot of goodies already in it. If you fertilize to early, you run the risk of nute burn. If the plant is healthy, I start feeding at the start of week 3.
This is just how I do it, not saying it's right or wrong, but I fucked this step up a few times when I was a newb.
Peace

Welcome. Nice to see you have done your research. Only a few minor points to help you get started. First are your lights. You have the soft white 2700k. That is the flowering spectrum. You'll want to get a few 6500k Daylight bulbs (blue end of the spectrum)

The nutes. You dont need to start the grow nutes that early in 99% of soils.

Odor control, you have a bit of time before you need this but ona gells and smells only do so much. If you can't get the proper (read as "best")option which is a can filter and inline fan setup, a temp fix is to get a cheaper fan and some carbon odor filters (can pick up at walmart pretty cheap) but you should really have your air being scrubbed unless you have a very powerful exhaust system blowing out massive amounts of air. The smell is HUGE HUGE HUGE.
