first grow one week old

this is my first grow one week old. 2 48 watt cfls and 3 23 watt cfls have 6 plants and they all look the same except some are just a bit smaller. just wondering if they look like they are doing good and could use some pointers, have slim to no money for supplies.(cheap style)

1st off I think you should get some perilite in that soil, the roots need oxygen & they won`t get it
with out some air pockets { that`s what the perilite is for } if you can`t use perilte find a handful or 2 of small pebbles & mix them in your soil mix.
They look fine { 1`s } a little yellower than the other but not bad.
How often are you feeding em & what & at what strength?
I usually use worm castings on my little one`s as it won`t burn em.

Agreed, that soil need some aeration. It doesn't look terrible, but would still benefit, with some perlite. Also, it'd be a good idea to add a little more soil to those pots, so that those gaps around the edges are filled up. Do it before you water, so that it washes down when you pour it in. That should keep those gaps closed, even when the soil dries out next time. You'd be surprised at the differences, little things like that, can make, reguarding a plants health, especially with the little ones.
