So this is my first real grow, and as i'm not expecting a whole lot, here's what i got. Two 4' fluoros that each put out 3200 lumens, and i try to keep the plants 2-4 inches from the lights. plants are potted in scotts potting soil. I use plant food once or twice a week. They're in a basement closet but i have no ventilation, and im not exactly sure if i need it because im only planning on growing 2-3 plants. I know aluminum foil is a terrible reflector, but its what i got. Basically i just want to know how this will work out, and if im missing any extremely important pieces. By the way, i do understand that hid lights will work a whole lot better, but i cant find a way to use them for under 100 bucks. Any help is greatly appreciated.

you can run a 1000 watt light for less then 100 bucks a month.......my 250 watt hps cost 100 bucks to buy and about 3-5 bucks a month to run....

ditch the tin foil and just paint it with some old white paint you can get your hands on, also dont use just any nutes, doing that might result in undesirable results. Get yourself the real deal and not feeding spikes or shit like that

White paint or some inexpensive visqueen plastic will do the job. Do your research and set up your grow room prior to introducing plants. Otherwise you will discover mid-way through your grow that you don't have everything you need which could affect the quality of your BUDS in the end.

So everyone agrees that white paint is better than tin foil? I covered up my white paint WITH tin foil...d'oh!
