First Grow, Need help on Materials

So im going to try to start my first grow, small closet, probably 3 plants at the most, with some seeds i collected from previous bags.

Things I Have
----------------
1. Plenty-O-Seeds(Though, i might just buy some cheap autoflowering seeds if these don't germ)
2. Medium Sized Plant Pots
3. Potting Soil
4. Small Humidifier
5. Moving Fan
i also have a fishtank, but idk if that would work good, could i line the inside with foil ?

Things I Don't (As far as I know)

1. Nutrients
2. pH Testing Materials
3. Lights*

I only plan to grow 2-3 plants, & yield jus as many oz's if possible and i plan on using CFLS, am i going to need ballasts & everything? or could i just get a couple of lamps collected & screw my cfls in all of them, connect them to a surge protector and line them up around my plants??? lol

I just want to grow enough for me & a couple of friends to enjoy, is this a good way of starting off a super cheap, closet room set up?

my advice use some good potting soil 2 gall pots and some nutes fore veg and some for bloom start small. you really goota find what product you like but advanced nutrients are very good. cfl bulbs will screw right into any lamp i bought a piece of sheet metal and fashoined 6 150 watt cfl bulbs under,only 6 plants set up keep in mind cfl will make a small grow hot a exhaust fan in the ceiling will fix or even a few holes if you cant afford an exhaust
