First Grow Mini Grow

I am now onto the curing stage with this plant. Got it in a jam jar and it isn't a massive yield of that little plant but I wasn't expecting much. I am shocked at how much size is lost during the drying process. Had a smoke of a small bud today when I was chopping them up for curing, has a very nice high to it but the taste and smell are still not there, hopefully with some careful curing it will be.

The biggest and next to harvest plant is looking a touch yellow still but healthy enough. Maybe still another week as trichomes are still just cloudy and I want a 50/50 mix for this one.

Once that plant is harvested I will be preparing for my next grow, once I'm prepared the final plant will be chopped to make way, still looks a long way off to me.

Ah so I got my scales back yesterday and weighed the yield of my small plant. just 7g dry bud. Not a great yield but I cut it down as soon as the trichs were cloudy for the head high, I think it had more time to grow really but 2 left in there.

It must of been some kind of dwarf strain as it was always smaller, it's given me a few seeds, strange, I hear this can be due to stress there is definitely no males in there or anywhere in this house. Male plants that is.... I may plant these some day if I want a real mini grow, after reading around my grow wasn't mini at all, loads of people are doing smaller ones than me!

One is thriving and one is doing okay, both have more on than this first plant do.

9 Weeks in. Trichs are all cloudy with a few clear still on my remaining plants. I am going to chop them both at the same time so as soon as the big one has 50/50 trichs I will chop em both down. But I think it may be another couple of weeks, they just don't seem ready.

I'm anxious to see how they are man

Okay so I've been waiting and waiting for these amber trichomes to appear and my plants seem to just be staying cloudy, but I noticed a few amber ones so I decided to give them the chop, not many clear trichomes anyway, but one plant just started a growth spurt. Nevermind I want to get started on my next grow this one has been going on for about 6 months now!

So they're hanging in the room with extraction on and the lights taken out, should be dry by next weekend ready for curing. Will post some pictures soon when I post about my homemade carbon filter

Looking good for a first grow, let us know how the smoke is.
There is nothing wrong with cutting early, I always harvest my Autos a little early, I love a good head high.

A picture of the 2 plants taken down, It's blurry but anyway you get a general idea here and I will get another picture once they are fully dry, they are hanging in the wardrobe right now with a dehumidifier running nearby

Just had a sample smoke of part that was nearly dry, it's pretty damn good even if I do say so myself.

Okay so the final weigh in of my 3 plants comes to around 1oz, I'm happy enough with this for my first go and it's some nice tasty smoke. 1oz is 200 here and it cost me around 150 to set this up, but I already have my second grow coming up, 7 little seedlings.

My dwarf plant yielded 7g

The one which streached beyond belief (about 1.5m) yielded 8g

The one which looked like a tree yielded 12.1g

so 27.1g not quite 28.35 but what you buy on the street is full of sticks and mine was trimmed to a higher standard.

Biggest bud weighed 1.8g had a fair few around 1g and they dried great and smoke great

So that's this over with, I've entered in my journal about my new grow if anyone is interested.

Trust me

I made a mistake on my new grow already, a stupid one... Put 4 plants in 1 pot figuring the roots would stay away from each other for long enough until I repoted. The roots were 8 inch long in a few days and they tangled and severly slowed growing, took me another 5 days to realise!

I need to get some pictures of these buds before I smoke them all lol

Got some of the plant that grew the biggest left so I'll grab a couple of snaps to really finish this lot off.

Well if I had a better camera then you would be able to see them properly.

They look very brown in those picture but I assure you they are very green

The hairs are brown, I'm just thinking it could be those lovely red tiles the lights shine off making the colour all fucked. Well anyway there's my weed.

Oh and I can happily sing marijuanaville now "Smokin' my home grown"

Looks yummy...
