first grow/ LST/ semi-broken stem

Hey everyone! I thought I'd introduce myself and whatnot.
Alright, so im 3 weeks into my first grow and I would like to give you a brief run down of whats occurred thus far, followed with some questions. Any input and, or suggestions are of course welcomed.:leaf:
My buddy's wife was making him get rid of a clone (Mr. Nice) he just started vegging. I of course nabbed it up. He already had it in a 3 gallon pot and situated slightly off center to accommodate LSTing it. But he unfortunately used a ceramic pot and a week into it I noticed an extreme residue build up on the exterior of the ceramic pot (mold like salty-ness:sad:). After consulting with you guys I quickly transplanted it into a plastic pot (3 gal) with FF Ocean Forest. A couple of days later I realized my young lady had been battling a phosphorous deficiency, but I quickly got her back on track with the addition of FF Big Grow nutes, RO water and a drop ph kit. Soon after the transplant I began LSTing. I was making minute adjustments in small increments in fear of breaking a stem. But nonetheless, through my naiveness I was using kite string and tying knots around the stems. Everything was progressing so well until 2 days ago I realized my girl was out growing the knots and was being restricted. Newbie mistake I know. But the central stem kind of broke due to the string weakening it. I have since removed all string and propped up the top section of the plant. Im sure she will heal herself quickly, Im just upset that I made such an avoidable mistake.
I was planning on inducing flowering next week, however with the broken stem set back, should I wait another week or two? She's real low and bushy, and healthy!
My grow space is a closet within a closet. 27"w by 17"d by 6ft h
Im running :
4 - 23w cfls 5500k.
1 - 35w cfl 6500k.
1 - 35w 2700k.
I've got intake and exhaust fans set up. And the space is fully insulated clad in white trash bags... only the best!!! lol
What do ya'll think about a low wattage HPS or metal halide like 50w-100w? I was thinking it would help keep the room warmer as it gets colder this winter. Thanks for reading, sorry about the length and forever keep burnin'!

Don't beat yourself up over it, its going to happen time to time. I have done it plenty and I'm a new grower as well. Let it heal up and when you notice its solid go ahead and start flowering. Shouldn't take too long I snapped a main stem on one I was LST'ing and put a small piece of cloth tape around it to hold it together and in 2-3 days it was as though it never happened.

Thanks for the response. What about substituting a couple cfl's for a low wattage hps or metal halide? Would I still need a ballast if im only running a 50w bulb?

Yes you would, all HPS bulbs require an HPS ballast. Just like how a flourescent tube bulb needs the proper ballast to perform, HPS is the same situation.
