I dont see any amber trics yet, I would guess another week?
I dont understand why people think they need to flush... for salt build up when severely overfed bottled nutrients and there is obviously nutrient problems... ok. but yours dont look bad. How can pouring extra water over the roots remove bad taste from the flower? IF the flower tastes bad now, it will not magically taste better in one week with extra water. IF your flower tastes like chemicals... do you think the chemicals will somehow travel back down to the roots and out to the surface to be washed away by extra water?

Im sure people will contradict me, but I try to look at it logically and not follow myths that float around.

Lol yea I've been doing a lot of reading on flushing and I think I'm going to pass on it once I get a bigger grow going I might do a side by side test just for shits and giggles.

Now my issue is I'm off to Vegas a week from Friday so I think I'm going to chop and hang her up right before I go I'll be gone for 6 days kinda scared to leave it that long but humidity will be low so I'm not to worried about mold but I just hope it does not get to dry. What do you guys think it's my first grow I'd hate to fuck it up at the very end

naw, it wont over dry in 6 days. I usually let em hang 9 or 10 days before curing.

i only grow in soil and i have never flushed, and i have not had a problem, as for how long untill they are ready for harvest , that is down to you, so you want a head or body high, or somthing in the middle, this you will have to find out threw trial and error, but i like quite a head high, so i keep a eye on the trics and when i see (on estimate) 10 amber trics to 90 milky i chop, and as for drying, the longer the dry the better the bud, chop off all fan leaves, throw these, chop sugar leaves, save for hash/emergency stash, string up the whole mj and let her dry nice and slow, when you come back from your trip she will still be drying so not too much of a problem, just make sure not to let humidity build up too much, i have a air tight box, but i use a little air dehumidifier, (NOT ELECTRIC!!!) it has crystals init that takes the water out the air, without adding air, i open the box every few days to get a fresh breeze, then close again, read up on it a bit, but you should be fine.

I like rinsing the soil out 4 weeks in, because I have added nutes over the veg period as well as now an added 4 weeks. I feel like it helps to stop you from getting that nasty deficiency.

It should definitely get better as you cure longer (the smell / taste). I think that grassy/earthy shit is from chlorophyll coming out, and as you cure longer there'll be less and less until the dank smell comes back and the taste smooths out. Not 100% positive how much you can come back from it being over dried but it'll at least get somewhat better. Looked great before the chop so I'm sure you at least have the potency factor there ;)

This method is particularly effective for folks who are starting out, those looking to maximize quality in a shorter period of time, and folks who's like to produce a connoisseur-quality product each and every time with no guesswork involved.

It's a very simple and effective process:

Cut the product, trim it per your preference, but don't dry it until the stems snap. Take it down while the stems still have some flex, but the product feel dry on the outside. This is a perfect opportunity to drop the dry-feeling flowers onto a screen and collect prime-quality kief that would otherwise get lost in the jar.

Jar the product, along with a Caliber III hygrometer. One can be had on Ebay for ~$20. Having tested a number of hygrometers - digital and analog - this model in particular produced consistent, accurate results. The Hydroset/Xikar hygrometers are also recommend after calibration. Then, watch the readings:

+70% RH - too wet, needs to sit outside the jar to dry for 12-24 hours, depending.

65-70% RH - the product is almost in the cure zone, if you will. It can be slowly brought to optimum RH by opening the lid for 2-4 hours.

60-65% RH - the stems snap, the product feels a bit sticky, and it is curing.

55-60% RH - at this point it can be stored for an extended period (3 months or more) without worrying about mold. The product will continue to cure.

Below 55% RH - the RH is too low for the curing process to take place. The product starts to feel brittle. Once you've hit this point, nothing will make it better. Adding moisture won't restart the curing process; it will just make the product wet. If you measure a RH below 55% don't panic. Read below:

Obviously, the product need time to sweat in the jar. As such, accurate readings won't be seen for ~24 hours, assuming the flowers are in the optimal cure zone. If you're curing the product for long-term storage, give the flowers 4-5 days for an accurate reading. If the product is sill very wet, a +70% RH reading will show within hours. If you see the RH rising ~1% per hour, keep a close eye on the product, as it's likely too moist.

Simon

she over dryed in 6 days? did you hang up the whole plant, and if you did was tge space airtight? if you just chopped branches 6 days may be a litrle toi long. but it is all about how you dry, if the space was not airtight you can dry very un-evenly, and also semi quick dry leaving a lot of moister in the middle.

I removed the larger fan leaves only I hung it in my tent with a running temp was 75 but RH was about 30% thats what I'm thinking was the issue
