First grow! Looking for feedback!

once they flower I will fluctuate the RH down into the 40's and try to keep my temp on the cooler side of that threshold and see what happens... because the Mama likes it.

Nice! I didn't cut any clones off these, I am looking forward to popping some seeds for the next run. I can always get some more cuts off my boy if I want to run these again! I will probably want to run the OrangeBlow again, I am loving that so far. My homie sent some cuts to envy that he used to breed with his CaliSunset. He just got some seeds from it yesterday, I think he called it Tampico, unless that was a typo lol. I will let you know how those go, or check out his ig, he goes by FrostyBoyGardens.

I cloned off of my female in root riot cubes soaked in nutes for 30 mins, scraped the bottom of the cutting and dipped in clonex gel .. put in a dome and 4 days later they were spitting roots all over the place. I put them in solo cups 16oz in coco loco soil. it's been 2 weeks and they are doing well. 6 weeks in those cups seems a little much. it's possible they are root bound from being in a small container for so long. transplanting should be helping. i brought over pics from the day i put them in the cups to today.

Here's some pics from the mother plant. First grow and i couldn't be happier.

A few days ago I noticed two of my plants in the back needed some food/water, they were a bit sad. Watered about 12 hours sooner than usual, they must be drinking more or there was too much run off on my previous watering... either way, they really enjoyed their drink and came back on strong.

I've only got about 1 feeding left of veg nutes, so I'll be flipping to flower in a week or less.

Did a bunch of defoliating yesterday. Cleaned up under the canopy and removed any small branches and nodes that have no chance of catching up. Continuing to weave into the scrog. Did a bit more pinching and bending. I'll post some pics soon.

On another note, I germinated 20 seeds 3 days ago and am happy to say I had a 100% germ rate! Some 9lb Hammer, Problem Child (9lb Hammer x Tangie), PNW High, and some 9lb Hammer x Dosidos, all from Jinx Proof. Got em in my 1x3 propagation area under a 90w T5. I soaked them for about 48 hours, then put them onto some plates with paper towels for an additional 24 or so hours. Planted them tonight into some solo cups. I filled the cups with soil to about 1 inch from the rim, poked 4 holes in the bottom of each cup, watered each cup til I noticed slight drainage, then I planted the seeds crown up about 2-3mm deep, covered in plastic wrap with rubber bands and poked 6 holes in each. The T5 is about 4 inches from the rim of the cup, 5 inches from the soil. A few of the taproots were pretty wiggly, in some cases they had done a 180 and were pointing in the direction of the crown. I planted them crown up regardless. Hope that was the right move.

Congrats on your 100% germ rate! I just popped 25 beans on Sunday and so far 16 are up. I didn’t do anything fancy though, just straight into solo cups of coco.

Not sure how high to hang my new LED’s though. I see everyone say 30” but I assume that’s if running 100%.

I also forgot to mention. This next run is going to be using Grean Bicycles Ocean Bounty and Happy Endings! @OneHitDone put me onto them. So far I am absolutely loving it. I amended some soil the other day, brewed up a couple of gallons of tea, and added that in today to start the composting. There is so much biological activity that the soil is warm to the touch! INSANE!! I've been going back and forth with Patrick, the owner, and he is very responsive and helpful. I have high hopes for this stuff! What I am most looking forward to is setting up my blumats. Looking forward to the set it and forget it. lol. It'll give me more time to focus on the plants... no more worrying about ppm, mixing nutes... nothin. Just pH the RO water and let er ride.

40-50K LUX is flowering intensities.
I believe that is one reason your plants are struggling, purple stemmed, and overall not blasting off.
Especially coming in what looked to be held too long in cups and most likely malnourished and root bound.
I'd back that light off to 15-20K and see how they respond for a couple days.

I'll give that a try bro! So much mixed info out there lol. I swear I looked at some charts and they said 40k was good for veg. They were def struggling at first, they were in solo cups for a good 6 weeks cause my buddy had to hold them for me while I waited for my subpanel to be installed. Thanks for chiming in dude!

Adjusted lights, sitting between 20-24k at canopy.



That last pic is the plant that still looks a little sad. Soil still seems moist. From what I know, and I don't know much, I'm guessing it's a watering issue? Any other ideas?

Also, does watts per sq ft really matter if I'm able to hit the desired light intensity? I was thinking I'd add a fourth sf2000 but when I crank the 3 all the way up I'm hitting 100k lux around the canopy... a fourth would just be overkill, no?

Bingo, you are starting to see the light that you can't just go by some hard set "led rules" What do the plants say?

With peat based mixes I have found it is better to error on the "light / dry" side. Can you kinda lift a the pots and see if the unhappy plants seem to be holding more water weight?

I'll sneak around the other side and lift er up. I measure the water pretty exact for each plant. I have a pump/wand coming today as well. Thatll help with getting into that back corner easier as well as managing how much goes to each plant. I'll prob hold trigger for 5 seconds on each pot and rotate until the thing is empty.

Once you really tune into the plants you will find that if they are not all the exact same variety you can not always water things evenly unless your in hydro or have a stupid fast draining media.
Some are much slower and more efficient at using water than others.

I hear you, I have 2 of each strain in there. The other plant of the same variety doesn't seem to be having the same issue. Lights are off now so I am going to let them rest for a bit, when it comes back on in 5 hours I will take a close look.

So for whatever reason, that lady in the back is bone dry. Pot is lighter than any other pot in the tent. Even the 2nd of that strain is still at least a LITTLE moist. They must be drinking more? All of them feel drier than expected. As a test I stuck my finger all the way in as far as I could get it, lifted the pots slightly, and even used this analog moister meter thing I have. Everything points to dry. Now a new problem presents itself... I only have enough veg nutes for one last feeding, if that... so I am going to have to feed and then flip to flower so I can move on with the feeding schedule. Do I flip right after their last veg feeding? or flip when they get their first flower feeding? Ugh... Maybe because I had the lights up they were drinking more? I don't know enough to say. I am glad this is the only problem I have right now though, seeing and hearing horror stories from rl friends and on here, I count myself blessed lol.

I am noticing some green on the seedlings as well. How much should I water those, just use a spray bottle or should I actually add water? I'm assuming spray bottle, but def looking for some insight into how much to water. Spray until noticeable moist then re-check every 12-24 hours and respray?

The plants aren't going to do some magic flip switching to "Flower Nutes"
Maybe spilt the next 2 feeds a mix of "Flower" and "Veg" Nutes?
It's best to get the plants healthy before flip if possibly or you'll really have a juggling act on your hands

I hear you. I wish my compadre had given me better advice. Lol. Hes been telling me they look good haha. I was wondering why they werent praying, figured it was a side effect of monstercropping... just finally been seeing 7 pointed leaves after all this time. I am 100% out of FOOP veg nutes... they'll probably make it 72 hours or less before needing water/food again. What do you think I should do? Just plain water next time? Will that help me stretch veg by a few days? If I don't have any other options I might just have to flip em. I don't want to get into deeper shit than I already am. It's probably not a good idea, but maybe a shot of happy endings? I'd assume is no good to mix nutrient lines, probably causes more problems than it solves if I had to guess.
